With the NHL wrapping up the regular season in the next week, we have a monster NHL card this Saturday with 16 games taking place from 12:00 PM EDT to 10:30 PM EDT.

We are bringing you three NHL picks this Saturday, one player prop selection and two game outright bets. Check out why we will be investing in these three picks today.

New York Rangers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

Saturday, April 08, 2023 – 07:00 PM EDT at Nationwide Arena

Mika Zibanejad (New York Rangers)

  • Goals Scored: 39
  • Goals Assisted: 48
  • Shots Per Game: 3.05

We are targeting the Rangers’ top scorer this season Mika Zibanejad at New York betting sites to get back on the scoreboard tonight with a goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Swedish-born centre has only scored twice in his previous 9 games, last scoring three games ago against the Washington Capitals. The Columbus Blue Jackets allow the second-most goals against this season with 4.1 per game. They have allowed 22 goals in just their previous four games.

Zibanejad has scored in 38% of his games this season, but has a 50% record against Columbus, and has fared much better on the road this season scoring 22 goals compared to 17 on home ice.

The Rangers lost last time out, and with Toronto right on their tail, they must win this game if they want to hold onto 4th position in the Eastern Conference.

Florida Panthers vs. Washington Capitals

Saturday, April 08, 2023 – 07:00 PM EDT at Capital One Arena

Panthers on 5-0 Run but Must Win

The Florida Panthers finally got their act together and managed to string five wins in a row together to put themselves in a prime chance of making the postseason.

Currently sitting with 75% chance of making the playoffs, Florida is in a tough battle with the Islanders, Penguins, and Sabres for this playoff spot.

The Panthers can’t rest on their laurels now as the chasing pack is right behind them. The Capitals season is finished and this is a must-win game for the Panthers, and also a very winnable game.

Capitals Season Finished

Washington has gone 2-8 over their previous 10 games and currently sits 3rd from bottom in their division and 4th from bottom in the Eastern Conference.

Next season can’t come quick enough for the Capitals. They have had some solid goaltending this season, but offensively have been well below par and have relied way too heavily on Alex Ovechkin for goals. The veteran has contributed 22 goals more than second-best Dylan Strome.

The Pick

The Capitals have absolutely nothing to play for, whilst the Panthers have been strong lately going 5-0. They can’t afford to slip up now against a very weak and demoralized team who are no doubt thinking about the mid-season break.

The Panthers are 5-0 in their previous five games against Washington, and needing to win tonight, we are willing to lay -130 on the moneyline as established at the NHL odds.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Los Angeles Kings

Saturday, April 08, 2023 – 10:30 PM EDT at Crypto.com Arena

Colorado 9-1 in Last 10 Road Games

The Western Conference has continued to be a battle right to the end. With just five points now separating 2nd to 6th, it seems the Vegas Golden Knights have wrapped up the conference title, but it’s not set in stone just yet.

Colorado has managed to pull together a very impressive 9-1 run of games, but they still remain at joint top of the Central Division with the Dallas Stars and the Minnesota Wild only trailing by 2 points.

Luckily for the Avalanche, they have one game in hand on both teams.

L.A. Kings Best Home Team in Conference

Despite going 2-3 in their previous five games, the Kings still remain in with a chance of catching the Edmonton Oilers in 2nd in the conference and division.

With that said, they will need to win tonight, and luckily for them, they are on home soil where they have the best home record in the entire Western Conference.

The Pick

Both these teams come into this game tied with 100 points each, the Avalanche sitting 3rd and the Kings 5th in the Western Conference. Also, both these teams will be desperate to win here and this could be one of the best games to view tonight.

Although both need to win, we don’t believe this will be a tight game. Expect goals in this one and take the over 6 at -120.

The previous three games between these teams ended with 12/9/7 goals, and all six of the Avalanche’s previous games have seen at least six goals scored.

If we hit six goals, we receive a push. At the very least we should get six goals in this matchup.
