Last time out we had a rare 1-0 Edmonton Oilers victory. Tonight, we don’t believe this will be a low-scoring affair, especially with the effort both teams put into the previous game.
We expect goals to flow in Edmonton tonight, and on home ice, the Oilers and Kings have a solid goalscoring record having averaged 6.9 goals in their previous seven meetings.
The Pick
The NHL odds on tonight’s over 5.5 total line seem very nice at -125. Although it’s a nice chunk of juice to lay, we were expecting it to be more and in around the -140 range, so there’s some small value to be had here.
Honestly don’t be surprised if this game sees over 6.5 hit, as the Oilers have one of the best attacking teams in the NHL, and it’s proven to be the case so far in this series as they have scored 7/4 and 6 goals in each of their first three games.
