The NFL’s biggest game, on its grandest stage, the Super Bowl, is going to be beamed across the world on February 11th. However, some are looking forward to the halftime show, featuring Usher, as much as the game itself.

Let’s look at four entertainment props to see if we can make some money on these unique opportunities at the top-rated online sportsbooks.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Sunday, February 11, 2024 – 06:30 PM ET at Allegiant Stadium

Usher will be the halftime entertainment this year and BetOnline has several props on the iconic entertainer as well as plenty of betting options on the worldwide sensation, Taylor Swift. Let’s check out four of these peculiar offerings and get paid while we’re getting down!

Number of Songs in Usher’s Set

  • Over 8 ½ (+110)
  • Under 8 ½ (-140)

Usher has a bucket list and one is singing the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

This is a big deal for a guy who has had plenty of big deals in his life. He’s also been out of the spotlight for a while, which is why some had a quizzical reaction to him being chosen as the artist who will entertain a worldwide audience north of 100 million.

Nevertheless, it’s fair to say the talented song and dance man will want to make this count.

As tempted as I am to go under in this wager, I think the sneaky right side is over, considering he will want to get as many of his gems in front of an enormous audience as possible.

But don’t count the minutes to each song and conclude it’s not possible. He won’t be playing the hits all the way through. I see him artfully cutting from song to song halfway through and keeping the jam going.

Go over in this one and grab the small juice BetOnline is paying.

Usher to Perform a Cover Version

  • Yes (-180)
  • No (+140)

There’s been plenty of new music since Usher last had a major hit like Climax in 2012.

Sure, he’s released music throughout the last few years and recently wrapped up a three-year residency at the Park MGM in Vegas. However, nothing even close to his nightclub anthem, “Yeah!”, has transpired. Nonetheless, that was a massive hit still being played 20 years after its inception.

Something even half as big would still be considered seismic.

So, does he play a cover or doesn’t he? No. Usher will stick to his expansive catalog of hits to remind people just how good he is and what he’s done. In fact, there will be an entire generation of kids who weren’t even alive when his first smash hit, “Think of You,” came out in 1994. He’ll want them to know what they’ve been missing.

Who Will Appear on Stage with Usher

We’ve got quite a collection to choose from:

  • Ludacris (+200)
  • Lil John (+300)
  • will.i.am (+400)
  • Nicki Minaj (+500)
  • P Diddy/Sean Combs (+500)
  • Alicia Keyes (+500)
  • Taylor Swift (+500)
  • DJ Khalid (+600)
  • 21Savage (+800)
  • Jadakiss (+1200)
  • Jay Z (+1200)
  • Beyonce (+1200)
  • 50 Cent (+2000)
  • Madonna (+5000)

I’ve got a sneaking suspicion as to who will be the surprise guest. We can rule out Madonna, whose reputation has taken a hit in recent years after perpetually showing up late for concerts and looking a bit awkward writhing around with backup dancers that could be her grandkids.

Other than the Material Girl, there’s a case to be made for just about everyone on this list. However, I’m going with the kingmaker who made Usher a star way back in the day. He’s the man who produced his first album and put him on the map in the 90s. The co-executive on the eponymous album, Usher, was none other than Sean “Puffy” Combs, aka P. Diddy, so why not put a few bucks on him at +500 odds?

Number of Times Taylor Swift Shown During Broadcast Live Shots

  • Over 5 ½ (-175)
  • Under 5 ½ (+135)

Love her or hate her, Taylor Swift is most definitely in the Super Bowl conversation.

The NFL has picked up a whole new audience who wouldn’t know a football from a beach ball if Taylor and Travis hadn’t become an item. If Taylor is good for business, then you know the NFL will want to show her off. As long as Kelce catches passes, you can expect a quick reaction shot in the luxury box with Swift and her newest besties celebrating.

I think 5 ½ is a relatively low total but we are paying for the privilege at a hefty -175 in juice.

Keep in mind, any halftime shots or commercials with Swift in them do not count toward the overall total but even so, I’m going high, as in “High Infidelity”.
