Golf Pick: Cameron Davis To Finish Top 20 (+200) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)
Here at BMR, we are going to trust Cameron Davis to be our best pick again this week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship after last week when cashing the top 10 tickets for readers and followers.
The twenty-eight-year-old from Sydney, Australia was an impressive 13th last season at TPC Southwind, a track that has so many correlations with many of his best performances this year. To illustrate those correlations, Davis was a top 10 finisher at the Players Championship followed by a 6th at the Heritage Classic, an elevated PGA Tour event.
Both tracks, TPC Sawgrass and the small greens of Hilton Head correlate with many players who love it here, particularly the injured Daniel Berger and out-of-sorts Webb Simpson.
The icing on the cake was last week’s 7th at the Wyndham Championship providing evidence of being in good nick. With Cameron Davis’s consistency, take a healthy stake on a top 20 finish at one of our top U.S. betting sites this week and a more modest wager on the outright market.

FedEx Cup Standings and Eliminations
This week in Memphis the top 70 on the PGA Tour battle to guarantee a place in next week’s BMW Championship which requires a top 50 ranking and the further money-spinning opportunity of qualifying for the Tour Championship, the following week.

Leading Contender Odds
Jon Rahm (+1000)
The big three in golf: Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm lead the way at the top of the market, and in my mind, it is Jon Rahm who should be the favorite this week.
The Masters champion seemed to find his game during the Open Championship and will not be suffering the letdown the other two have from Royal Liverpool. Combine that with a debut round of 62 for the Spaniard here and he looks a solid selection in match bets versus either of those two rivals.
Recent PGA Winners
Brian Harman (+5000)
Shock Open Championship winner, Brian Harman can be competitive this week on his reappearance if he manages to refocus his attention on the golf course after all the partying he returned to.
Unsurprisingly, this tricky test in Tennessee suits the diminutive Georgia man well, he finished 3rd last year and 6th in 2014 to illustrate how TPC Southwind’s demands meet Harman’s now well-advertised strengths.
Lee Hodges (+10000)
Lee Hodges reappears this week after his wire-to-wire impressive PGA Tour debut win at the 3M Open. Rather interestingly, Hodges was 13th on debut here last year and warrants more respect than the sportsbooks are giving the twenty-eight-year-old from Huntsville for backing up his last win.
TPC Southwind Course Specialists
Andrew Putnam (+12500)
TPC Southwind has never been a track that prejudices the shorter hitters and Andrew Putnam’s success here over the years is testimony to that. The thirty-four-year-old from Tacoma in Wahington has two eye-catching performances in Memphis, finishing 5th last year and runner-up in 2018.
No doubt, Putnam will quietly fancy his chances this week of a good result and guaranteeing his place at next week’s BMW Championship after a solid prep at the Wyndham Championship last week.
Harris English (+10000)
Harris English is a real TPC Southwind course specialist having won the 2013 PGA Tour event here but seeks redemption this year having blown the 2022 renewal when leading by four shots in the final round.
The thirty-four-year-old from Georgia has been struggling with injury since and it is only the recent months he has been able to build his confidence back up. English showed his mettle last week at the Wyndham Championship when birdieing the last to make the cut and guarantee himself a start this week in Memphis.
