It's not so much that I'm fearful of the gym. It's just I know that I'm not very strong so I'm not going to be going in there lifting big weights and so forth. But I know I need to start somewhere and start off small
Exactly, don’t go in there trying to be the strongest man in the gym because you’ll injure yourself. Make sure you stretch your entire body before your workout as well.

I'll let you know how that works out for me 🤣
If my wife was not down for that then shit she ain’t the one real talk lol. My girl does this to me all the time and I feel like a fuckin’ King even though she’s not a dime piece, she’s still very sexy in my eyes and she’s got a nice bag to boot.

Plus she makes me laugh and she lets me watch football as much as I want and doesn’t judge me for it because she knows I’m trying to make money in this industry with my passion.

Thanks buddy I would not settle for anything less I’ve been married and divorced and that shit sucks. I hope deep down inside that’s not the case for you, because if it is you need to get out of that relationship. Just offering you some advice because I’ve been there and I’ve done that.

Nobody in the gym really cares. We're all focused on ourself. If you're not strong, you gotta start somewhere. Use machines if you're embarrassed about people seeing how little weight you're moving. Just making sure that you're always progressing every time you go in there. I use an app called 'Strong' to keep track of it for me.

Every time you do a certain exercise, let's say chest press, make sure you're doing either more weight or more reps than the last time. if you had the machine set at 50lbs and you did 6 reps on the first set, 5 on the 2nd, and 4 on the 3rd, your goal the next time you do the chest press is to set it at 50lbs and do bare minimum of 7 reps, 5 reps, and 4 reps. Once you hit whatever reps you have in mind (3 sets of 8 reps is pretty standard), then you increase the weight.

Oh, and I'd weigh in on Friday morning. Monday morning is always going to be rough because of the weekend cheating and salt intake bumping up your weight from all the water you're holding onto. Eat clean throughout the week and loosen up on the weekend.

i don't have many insecurities in my mind, but going to a gym would make my self conscience for sure
It shouldn't a fat slob or some weak bitch that comes into a gym and puts in work and improves is worthy of respect and honestly does more to heighten the culture of a gym than the strongest or most attractive person there.

Unless bobby's family joins him on the diet and eliminates the pantry and freezer full of garbage food then it is almost impossible for him to succeed.

We will be monitoring closely.
Exactly it will have to be a family effort. I do think they’re already in the right direction as far as accomplishing this because they seem to be eating healthier overall.

i do 5 minutes of workout a day

come home, do 10-15 push ups, 10-15 pull ups, and 10-15 bench presses at 75-85 pounds

I also go to the dog park 3-4-5x a week, and do roughly 11,000 steps a day

Much better for you to get fresh air anyways. The point I was making is nobody should be self conscious going to the gym if it is to improve themselves.

Actually the wife inspired me to start. The pantry is still full but I have been avoiding temptation as much as possible. That's not to say I don't cheat every once in awhile but I don't eat junk like I used to

You seem to be on the right track baby steps Bobby. You gotta walk before you crawl, wait reverse that 😁.

Yes I think if I stretch before and after it will definitely take some of the soreness out

research saws a nice warm up, break a sweat, before resistance work. and stretch after.

stretching a cold muscle is a no no and can result in poor performance .

if you wanna do resistance. I'd start with planet fitness machines at suck a light weight, that is in effect a warm up. and focus on a few weeks of form and full range of motion.
