Deangelo Russell (LAL) o17.5 points -114 1.14u to win 1u
Phoenix Suns -4.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Ok I have two plays tonight on a huge NBA card. First up I like Deangelo Russell to score at least 18 points tonight against Memphis. Memphis is just going through the motions for the rest of the season so I think there will ample opportunity for Russell to score against a team that is mailing it in. The last couple of games he's gone under this number but prior to that he had been playing well going over the number in 4 straight. I'm willing to bank on him having a good game tonight against a Memphis team that doesn't care at this point and wants the season to be over.

Next up I'm backing the Suns again against the Kings on the road. I know I said that the Suns are inconsistent and frustrating to back but they're healthy and the Kings are not. I don't think the Kings are that good without Monk and Huerter in the lineup and that's going to make the difference here. 4.5 is a fair number so I'm going to lay it here with the Suns.

0-2 night as my little mini streak comes to an end. Russell didn't come anywhere close to scoring at least 18 points and the Suns won against the Kings which is huge for them but they didn't cover in what was a pretty good and close game to watch. I'll try to get back on track tomorrow on Saturday's slate.

Correction there are no NBA games tomorrow as Sunday is the final day of the season. We'll see if I have anything Sunday or if I sit it out and just wait for the play in tournament which starts April 16th.

Are you going to continue posting/tracking through playoffs @Jrgum3 ?
Is it easier to pick winners in the playoffs for you?
Of course I'm going to continue to post my plays here. I plan on going until the Finals are over. I am thinking about tracking the playoffs separately though and then adding them up at the end.

That's what I was thinking you might do, track them seperately. I was just curious if it was gong to be in this thread. Thanks for explaining.

I'm still lurking in your thread and will be thru the playoffs. GL

So I didn't have any plays today and I'm glad I didn't after looking at some of the scores. Teams didn't really care much with most of the playoffs seeding set in stone. I'm going to wipe the slate clean and track my playoff plays seperately. Then at the end of the Finals I'll tally my overall combined regular season and playoffs record.

LA Lakers PK -110 1.1u to win 1u
Golden State Warriors ML -155 1.55u to win 1u

My first of two plays tomorrow is on the Lakers to win the game against the Pelicans. I don't think the Pelicans have an answer for the Lakers at the rim where they were completely dominated on Sunday giving up a whopping 68 points in the paint. I make this pick not knowing Anthony Davis's status but I'm banking on him playing tomorrow with this being the play in tournament. The Pelicans have no answer for him and Lebron at the rim so that's why I'm backing the Lakers in this one.

My next play is on the Warriors on the moneyline against the Kings. I don't feel totally comfortable laying the 3 points here against the Kings but I do think the Warriors win the game. They've been terrific on the road this year and have been playing better than the Kings down the stretch. That's mainly because those injuries to Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter have really taken a toll on the Kings and they've stumbled down the stretch. I do think this will be a close game so that's why I'm taking the ML but I'm confident in the Warriors to get the job done here.

1-1 night tonight as the Lakers managed to hang on versus a very game New Orleans team but the Warriors played like crap and the Kings blew them out. This sets up an intriguing matchup for the 8th spot in the West between the Kings and Pelicans. I will most certainly have a play on this game but my initial lean is to the Kings especially if Zion is hampered in any way. Even if he plays I kind of like the Kings to win that game because of the way they played tonight against the Warriors and also because we don't know how banged up Zion is not to mention Brandon Ingram is still struggling in his return from injury.

Philadelphia/Miami o208.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u
Atlanta Hawks +3 -110 1.1u to win 1u

First up I took the over in the Philly/Miami game. I feel with everybody important playing in this game that this number is too low. The Heat are better offensively with Tyler Herro back in the lineup and they are looking to push the pace because they're better in transition than they are in the half court. On the other side the Sixers are obviously better with Embiid in the lineup because they get to the foul line way more consistently than they did with Embiid off the floor. Yesterdays games both went under but I think we see an over in this one because of these factors I laid out and the number being too low for two teams that have played to the over with their key guys in the lineup.

My next play is on the Hawks +3 against the Bulls. I think this game is a toss up but the Hawks have played better down the stretch than the Bulls and now they're completely healthy. I think they can win this game but I'll gladly take the 3 points here because I expect a one possession game here between two teams that don't have much separating them.

1-1 tonight but truthfully I'm shocked I won the Philly/Miami over. 66 points in the 4th Quarter is insane given the way the game was going so I feel for under backers because that game had no business going over. As for the other game I'm glad Atlanta is done because they really aren't that good and probably had no business in the playoffs so I'm glad they lost even though I lost the bet. Now we get Miami and Chicago on Friday night which I think will be a pretty competitive game. My first lean on the game is to take Miami because I think they're simply better than Chicago and probably shouldn't have have lost today. It'll be a close game but right now I lean to Miami and their extensive playoff experience. I'll be back Friday with my official plays on the two play in games but I lean Miami and Sacramento right now.

New Orleans Pelicans +1 -110 1.1u to win 1u

So my initial lean on this game was to back the Kings especially with Zion out but after thinking about it I decided to go with the Pelicans +1 here. The Kings have been a frustrating team to back this year as they have been extremely inconsistent and have a tendency to play poorly after looking good in the previous game. So I don't fully trust them here and also the Pelicans simply own them this year having gone 5-0 against them with none of the games being remotely close. Even without Zion the Pelicans may simply just be the better team than the Kings so I ended up going with them here ATS. I would have the played the ML but my book didn't offer it so I'm taking the point here and essentially asking the Pelicans to win the game which I think they ultimately will tonight.

1-0 tonight as the Pelicans didn't look back once they took the lead in the 2nd Quarter. Now they take on the Thunder which could be an interesting series because I think the Pelicans proved tonight they're more than just Zion. I still expect Oklahoma City to win that series but it might be a longer series than expected because the Thunder are still inexperienced compared to most teams and I think the Pelicans can win a game or two in that one before bowing out eventually to the better team which I believe is the Thunder. I will be back tomorrow with some more plays as we get the playoffs started with 4 games which I'm looking forward to.
