Since I had fun with my WNBA thread despite it ultimately being a losing thread I have decided to post my NBA plays in here and track them to see how I'm doing this year.

10/24
Austin Reaves o23.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists -107
Kevin Looney o10.5 rebounds -120
Kevin Durant o5.5 Assists -114
Golden State Warriors -3 -110

I went prop heavy on opening night as you can see. I feel Reaves is going to get heavy usage for the Lakers this year and I expect this game to be competitive so I think he goes over this number. Looney should get a lot of run with Draymond Green out so I think he will go over this rebounding number which I think is low for him since that's all he basically does is rebound. I went Durant over assists prop tonight because Beal has been ruled out and Booker is questionable with a toe injury. Even if Booker plays Durant should have the ball in his hands a lot so he will create for others enough to warrant a shot on his over assists prop. Lastly I went with the Warriors -3 at home against the Suns. Admittedly I missed the best of the number since I could have played this last night at a pickem price or -1 but I still think the Warriors start the season strong at home against a depleted Suns team. They play better at Chase Center so I think they win and cover here.

Went 2-2 tonight with my props going 2-1 thanks to Looney grabbing a last second board but unfortuately the Warriors didn't win or cover at home where they've been so good.Back at it tomorrow with a big slate of games hopefully I pick and choose my spots well because it's easy to get sucked into betting too many plays in NBA.

So you focus a lot on props during the NBA season Jrgum or mostly sides/totals?

A little bit of both to be honest. Usually more sides and totals but I am sprinkling in some props because that is a beatable market and sometimes the lines are too sharp for sides and totals so I go the prop route like I did in that Lakers game last night.

Boston Celtics/New York Knicks u223.5 -115
New Orleans Pelicans PK -110
Dallas Mavericks/San Antonio Spurs o231.5 -110
Sacramento Kings -1.5 -108
Victor Wembanyama o3.5 blocks +200

These are my plays for today. I see a tight defensive battle in the Knicks/Celtics game so I went under. I think the Pelicans will be a darkhorse in the West this year so I went with them to beat a banged up Grizzlies team. I think the Spurs/Mavericks game will be a back and forth shootout as I don't expect the Mavericks defense to be good this year and I think the Spurs will put up points on the board. I like Wembanyama's block prop so much I went for an alt line at o3.5 +200 because I think he blocks a ton of shots this year. Last but not least I'm on the Kings to get off to a good start this year against the Jazz.

Very nice 4-1 day for my plays. Only play that didn't cash was the prop on Wembanyama but that's due to the fact he saw limited minutes because he was in foul trouble. Props are tough sometimes because I thought it was a good play but if the guy you bet on doesn't get enough minutes obviously it's not going to hit. There will be better days for Wembanyama blocking shots just didn't happen tonight.

Milwaukee Bucks -6 -108
Tyrese Maxey o5.5 Assists +104
Damien Lillard o26.5 points -125
LA Lakers/Phoenix Suns u226.5 -110

In the first game tonight I like the Bucks to come out strong against a distracted Sixers team. I feel they should cover here at home and still like it at -6. I backed Maxey's assists prop because he going to run the offense with Harden out so to me he's a good bet to rack up assists this year going forward as the lead guard for Philly. I think Lillard gets off to a good start against a Philly team that will have trouble stopping him so I took his over points prop.

In the nightcap I just went with the Under 226.5. With Booker and Beal both out for Phoenix I don't see a lot of points in this game from either side as both teams try to slow it down. No props in this one for me and while I lean to taking the points with the Suns tonight I just couldn't do it without Booker and Beal in the lineup.

Another excellent day going 3-1 with both props hitting and the Lakers game staying way under the total. Tough loss with the Bucks who looked like the right side for much of the game until the 4th Quarter when the Sixers mounted a comeback and took the lead only to lose the game. Still though another winning day to continue my strong start to the season so I'll take it.

Fantastic start of your season, always nice to get ahead of the game early on & keep that confidence a high priority.

Miami/Boston u217.5 -110
Denver Nuggets -5.5 -110
Orlando -2 -110
Sacramento -2.5 -113

First up tonight I like Boston/Miami u217.5 because I think Boston and Miami both have good defenses and will look to slow it down on offense enough for this stay under.

Next up I went Denver to cover the spread because I'm down on the Grizzlies to start the season due to their injuries and Ja being out. Plus Denver looked impressive against the Lakers so I expect them to come out strong again here on the road.

My next play is on Orlando to cover who is a team that I feel is on the rise whereas Portland is trending down and will struggle this year now that Dame is with Milwaukee.

Last I went Sacramento in a revenge spot against the Warriors at home. The Warriors were terrible on the road last year and they're still missing Draymond Green which will hurt them on defense and with rebounding not to mention he helps facilitate their offense. It pains me to go against my team but it's about making money and I don't feel good about the Warriors winning tonight on the road so I went with Sacramento to cover this small number.

Memphis Grizzlies ML -105
Utah Jazz +6 -114

So tonight I'm on Memphis as they play Washington on the second night of a back to back. I don't think Washington is very good and they certainly can't guard anyone so I see Memphis taking care of business here and getting their first win of the season.

For my second play I went with Utah +6 against a banged up Suns team who will once again be without Bradley Beal and Devin Booker. I see this one being close so I don't really understand the wide line here. Not sure the Jazz win so I'll just play it safe and take the points because I do expect this one to come down to the wire.

Tough 0-2 night as neither play seemingly stood a chance although Memphis did stage a comeback only to fall short at Washington. We'll see if I have any plays tomorrow or whether I wait until Monday to get back on track.
