We go 1-0 last night as Indiana overcomes a sluggish start where they fell behind by a decent margin and races past OKC to cover the spread. On to today's slate where's there is only 4 games so I'll see if there's anything I like and post it here.

LA Lakers -5.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Just one play for me today on a short 4 game card and it's on the Lakers to cover 5.5 at home against a struggling Cavs squad. The Lakers will have both Lebron and AD for this game which has kind of been the case of their games where these guys get confirmed in closer to game time after being listed as questionable. This is a game the Lakers need and they should be plenty motivated to take care of a struggling Cavs team so I'm backing them here at home to get the job done and cover the 5.5 points.

1-0 day as the Lakers take the matinee game against the Cavs and cover the spread. We'll see if I have anything tomorrow because I have to work most of the day and might not have time to cap the games. If I have no plays then I won't have anything until Tuesday because the league gives way to the National Championship game on Monday and won't resume until Tuesday.

Phoenix Suns -6 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Just one play again today for me as I don't have much time to cap this massive card. My play is on the Suns to cover 6 points at home against the Pelicans. The Suns have been playing much better basketball and are healthy at the right time heading into the playoffs while the Pelicans are not playing well due to injury and they're sliding down the standings. This is a big game for the Suns and I expect them to take care of business and send the reeling Pelicans even closer to playing in the play in tournament while the Suns stay firmly in the top 6.

Tough one today as the Suns lose at home against the Pelicans. They're still ahead of the Pelicans in the standings because they own the tiebreaker but they have to keep winning to keep it that way because they're tied. The Suns are a tough team to figure out because on paper they look like a contender when they're healthy which they are right now but I think it's more likely that they're a pretender with the way they've played at times this season. We'll see in the playoffs but they're are one of the most inconsistent teams in the West for sure.

Milwaukee Bucks +2.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Just one play tonight as we get back at it on a 14 game card in the NBA. I am taking the Bucks to cover the 2.5 points here against the Celtics. If this were the playoffs I'd back the Celtics here because the Bucks are reeling having lost 6 out of 7. I don't like how they're playing right now but the Celtics have nothing to play for so they may sit some key players and they know that they might match up with the Bucks in the playoffs so they're not going to want to show too much to the Bucks tonight. Another reason I'm taking the Bucks is they need this game given their recent slide. If they keep losing down the stretch the teams behind them will catch them for the 2 seed in the East so I think they show up here at home against a Celtic team with nothing to play for.

Horford and more notably Porzingis sat. I think that was the reason for the line movement. I bet the game before that news dropped as both were questionable heading into the game.

This is a tough card tonight because a lot of teams played last night and there are varying degrees of motivation for the teams tonight. I think that Dallas wants to win this game because they can still get the 4 seed so they're going to play their guys tonight. Miami played a double overtime game last night so I think Dallas will be more rested and able to exploit a tired Miami team. We'll see if Miami rests some players but even if they don't I like Dallas to continue their winning ways on the road and get the cover.

Nice to get another easy one last night. Dallas looks primed and ready to make a run in the playoffs and given the way they're playing I think they can go deep in the playoffs especially with Luka and Kyrie playing some of the best ball in the league right now.

New Orleans Pelicans ML -105 1.05u to win 1u

I only have one bet on tonights short NBA card and it's on the Pelicans ML in their matchup with the Kings. This is a huge game for both teams but I think the Pelicans will take care of business here against the reeling and banged up Kings. The Kings need to win to stay out of the 9/10 game in the play in tournament but they haven't played well since Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter both went down with significant injuries. I expect the Pelicans to play with a sense of urgency because they're trying to stay in the top 6 so I'm backing them on the ML here in what essentially amounts to a coin flip game in my estimation because the Kings are favored by 1 at home.

We notch another easy winner as the Pelicans complete the season sweep of the Kings and stay squarely in the top 6. Hopefully I come back tomorrow with another winner and keep up this nice little wave of momentum heading into the playoffs.
