Swinger went 4-2 against the spread last week in the NFL’s Wild Card Round and is poised to do even better this week in what now comes down to the elite eight teams left in the postseason tournament.
Let’s see what SJ has in store for us in his NFL picks this weekend!

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tennessee Titans
Saturday, January 22, 2022 – 04:30 PM EST at Nissan Stadium
The public watched as the Bengals had a bit of a time dispatching the upstart Raiders, but dispatch them they did, when they sent the boys from Sin City home courtesy of a 26-19 victory and covered the 5½ point impost, much to the delight of their backers.
It wasn’t a dominating win but it got the job done and Joe Burrow added two more touchdown passes to his resume while Ja'Marr Chase caught nine of his 12 targets for 116 yards. These two could be the most dynamic pass/catch combination in football and should do well against the 25th ranked pass defense of the Titans.

The public is loving Tennessee for a few reasons. They have had a two-week rest, will be getting the home-field advantage, and the specter of Derrick Henry returning looms large. All good reasons to lay the lumber against many teams but not against the Bengals.
As good as Henry is, I can’t imagine he is going to seamlessly transition from the IR to the playing field without a hiccup. Even if he doesn’t gain traction against the Bengals on the ground, he will allow Ryan Tannehill more time in the pocket.

But aside from A.J. Brown, who does Tennessee have as a pass-catching threat? The immortal Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee’s second-leading receiver with a whopping 476 receiving yards won’t scare me.
And if you think the Julio Jones playing for the Titans at nearly 33-year-old is the same guy who caught leather from Matty Ice in Atlanta, well, you haven’t been paying attention.
Grab the points and back the Cats.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers
Saturday, January 22, 2022 – 8:15 PM EST at Lambeau Field
The 49ers have won eight of its last 10 and their defense has been impressive, allowing just 16.2 points over their last four games. Statistically speaking, San Francisco’s offense is No. 3 in total yards with over 375 yards per game and their defense also checks in third, allowing 310 yards per contest.
This is a gritty, never-say-die 49ers team that could be catching the Packers a bit off-guard considering their starting unit trailed the lowly Lions at the half of their last game of the year. Many of the backups took over in the second half and Green Bay dropped a 37-30 decision.

In the previous meeting between these teams, the Packers came away with a 30-28 victory and limited the Niners to 67 yards. But San Francisco now has a dynamic young player in Elijah Mitchell in the backfield and he is killing it lately.
The odds at all of the best online sportsbooks have installed the Packers as six-point home chalk but I see the Niners hanging around in this one.
Score Prediction: Packers 31 – 49ers 30

Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sunday, January 23, 2022 – 03:00 PM EST at Raymond James Stadium
Here we have a pair of gunslingers in Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford ready to shoot it out at the Ray Jay corral.
Don’t expect to see too much running from either side as both teams possess stout run-stop units so it will be up to the trigger-men to do the damage.

The Bucs won’t have Antonio Brown, or Chris Godwin for that matter, to stretch the field but Brady still has big targets in Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski. That’s all he needs but you can be sure he will spread the ball around as much as he did in last week’s 31-15 win over the Eagles when nine Tampa receivers caught passes from the GOAT.
Don’t let the Rams’ outstanding defensive performance last week against Kyler Murray and the Cards fool you. Brady has a hair-trigger finger and will be locking onto receivers before LA’s big boys get close.

This is also a revenge spot for TB12 as the Bucs lost 34-24 to the Rams earlier this season.
Let’s consider ourselves fortunate that Heritage Sports (visit our Heritage Sports Review) is still dealing a 2½ on the Bucs and pounce on it before it is too late!

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday, January 23, 2022 – 6:30 PM EST at Arrowhead Stadium
It is difficult to put Josh Allen’s five-touchdown performance against the Patriots out of our minds. He destroyed Bill Belichick’s specifically designed pass defense and I’m not sure the Chiefs’ D presents a greater challenge.
And while New England played poorly, I have seen Kansas City fall into defensive lapses throughout the season. If they start slowly, as they did last week in falling behind to Pittsburgh, it’s lights out at Arrowhead.
MORE PICKS: Bills vs. Chiefs NFL Divisional Round Preview and Best Bet
The Bills defeated the Chiefs, 38-20, earlier this season at Kansas City’s playground and Allen had a total of four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing while tossing for 315 yards. So, what’s changed?
The KC offense under Patrick Mahomes is one of the best in the business but the Bills boast the top-ranked pass defense while the Chiefs pass defense is in the bottom third of the league.
In addition, the Bills have gotten their running game on track. The oddsmakers have the wrong favorite in their NFL odds with this one.
Score Prediction: Bills 33 – Chiefs 27
NFL Pick: Bills +2½ (-115) at Bovada
