I agree with this 100%. Betting for some people is like an investment. As long as you’re responsible with it and you’re making money or losing what you can afford, it’s not a sin in God’s eyes.

I have been taught the bible from the highest of the high , many different priests, deacons and even bishops over the years. There is nothing wrong with gambling when it comes to the bible. I have asked this question.

You guys might think I’m crazy but let me try to flip the script on “you people” for lack of a better word. I feel like if you’re addicted to food and you are overweight and unhealthy that is a sin against the temple of your body. That’s what my God believes maybe not yours.

Argued this point many times wagering is not a sin just like sex, eating, drinking, and (righteous) anger. They all however are very slippery slopes that can lead one astray from blessings to addiction and sin.

Gambling is definitely evil. I don't care if anyone disagrees; it clearly is. It's not healthy for the heart, mind or soul. We are not meant to gamble on sports. Watching sports is fine though. Sex outside of marriage is a sin, gluttony is a sin, drinking hard alcohol is a sin, and drinking more than a few beers a day is a sin.

Dopamine rush comes whether you lose or win. I think there is some research that you get hits from just placing the bet.

Some of those things you mentioned are pretty funny that you think are sins. I’m not here to debate with you about your beliefs, don’t care enough. I think you know where I stand on doing these things in moderation is equivalent to staying away from sin, besides sex out of marriage.

However, I do not know any person with any sense that has not had sex outside of their marriage. Can you imagine being married and not having something on the side? I know it exists but those are a certain type of people, very rare in this day and age.
