Bet365 closes my account based on assumption I'm a problem gambler LOL

After having a bet365 account for close to 20 years, and being limited to maximum bets ranging around $2.40 for the last two years, they suspended my account based on suspicion of problem gambling.
After a long and unfruitful chat with an agent, he told me they were closing my account due to their problem gambling rules. Guy asked me if I wanted to self exclude myself, when I said no he excluded me anyway. Had to be one of the most surreal conversations I've ever had in my life.
This despite the fact I am up about $20,000 life time and have only withdrawals over the last two years.
How much trouble can you get into at $2.40 a bet?
Perhaps it's the fact they just don't want to deal with winners but can't come out and say that?

very bad look for bet365. They're essentially admitting they have no understanding about what problem gambling or gambling related harm is or what it looks like.
Agree with this. I went back and reviewed my stats at 365.
Over the last year I had $1650 in total deposits, $1049 in withdrawals for a net loss of $527.75.
I wagered a total of $22,537 for the year (a fair number of bets at $2.40).
Up until two years ago I was able to wager upwards of $1000 a game mostly on live Ncaa FB and live NFL halftime and team totals. After doing well, they limited most bets to $2.40, and I was probably betting easily upwards of $10,000 a day at that time(stats only go back for the past year).
Yet they now see me as a problem gambler. In comparison, at Bookmaker, I've bet more than $20,000 in the last week alone.

If your arbitrage betting it has nothing to do with your win or loss stats they are never gonna tell you that is why we closed your account or limited you. Doesn’t make sense for them to have you as a customer they don’t need your business or action from there perspective . I use to do arbitrage betting all time just half to keep getting new accounts I can’t can’t speak to current status of keeping accounts active all I know use to be able to bang them real good for month or so then account was done then it went to week or put in couple bets they will close your account . lost 40k in one week with them still limiting my account 2 dollars bets .

I'll never understand how people get mad at the books for getting limited after arbing. Why make the complaint then someone has to get you to admit what you did wrong? Annoying

there is no way a sportsbook would ever know if I bet the opposite side somewhere else.

As always: So long as they only offer bets they want customers to make, they should never limit us for betting them. And if they do offer bets they don't want customer to make, they should stop doing that, because it hurts everyone -- especially the sportsbook.

They wouldn't necessarily but they would know you are taking something that's EV. Arbing, if you throw out the factor if a book is sharp or not, arbing is taking the EV line on each side vs. those that EV taking the (1) EV line that fits their formula. EV is EV to the books and once they see that pattern, they won't like it.

Every bet has an expected value. The sportsbook is allowed to only offer bets that have a positive expected value to them and a negative expected value to the person taking the bet. If they don't like customers taking bets where they get the best of it, they should stop offering those bets at those prices. The sportsbooks have access to all the same information we have, plus the extra information from their order flow.
