Great advice and while I do not live bet often I have made money in the past using this strategic

#5. Seek Hedging Opportunities
You can often find excellent hedging opportunities at live betting sites. If you bet on a team to win a game before it starts and that team takes the lead, you are likely to find very attractive odds on the opposing team. At that point, you can bet the optimal amount on the opposing team and lock in a guaranteed profit, regardless of who wins.

in live betting, is it better to bet during and at the end of the game? or before it starts?
Scratch your last part because live betting is after game starts for the most part. If the game is delayed than it will be under live but you do not want to bet it than. Only bet when you see an edge. Just like it poker everyone has a tell. Similar in live betting if you think that way. look for players that have given up and pounce

That article was very well written by someone that has live bet a lot before. So many times you read something and shake your head like "does this person even bet??" Very good article. I would add in the psych part and really focus on teams affect, Also, get out of your head what just happened. The line is based on that and that is what your average Joe will be betting. Just because a team has the ball doesn't mean they will score. Put yourself on the books side and think what they need to win $$.

I will never bet a team receiving the ball. In football, I usually bet when the team I want is punting and that will give me the best possible line. If my team makes a stop and score than I can bet the other way to guarantee a profit and possibly win both bets if I want it or let it ride. in football I let it ride

Hardly ever bet live.

Will read this and see what I am missing.

Hedging a winning ticket might not be that smart though. I've done it though when my team seems to be struggling to stay on top and I think they are going to lose ground.
If a team trend is to start really slow 1st quarters than you will do better with live bets if you plan on betting that team. Just like shitty bullpens in baseball. Wait until the pen is ready to come in and fade the garbage pens.

so when is the time to do hedging? only when your team is losing?

No, no, no. Hedging is trying to make a profit on your bet no matter what. Your team would have to be winning than bet the other way or if you had a future on one team at big odds than bet the other team or needing 1 last team on a parlay to cash the ticket

Here is a useful hedging calculator if you have a parlay going and are on the last leg.

You can also use the BMR "search" feature and type in "hedge" and see where other posters might have hedged a bet or made a thread on hedging. Hope that helps Bubbles!!
