My biggest issue was that it created an unfair market marketplace, where those big companies had basically a monopoly.

That means they could charge whatever vig they want and nobody could come in and compete with them.

Exactly what happened here in Florida

Yeah california and Florida both beholden to the Tribes.

At least they own Hard Rock and you can go there.

California Tribes only have casinos on Indian land and they are not dialed into the sportsbook.

When DK and FD were trying to get the bill passed in CA, the tribes had a competing bill that would have kept sportsbetting to them, where you have to go into one of their houses to bet.

We were licking our chops at the possibility of the tribes making book. I figured we could sting them for a shit ton of money before they would realize what happened. They probably would have hired another casion manager to run it though.

Either way, giving it to DK and FD with their prop, or to the tribes with their prop was going to lead to an unfair and horrible betting marketplace.

The Exchange is the answer and that really is where the title of this thread comes from.

I sure as hell need to prepare for it.

Well, we're not banned yet.

And the truth is, Schiff is calling it sportsbetting just disguised as something else.

But the Supreme Court has already said you can't do a national ban on sportsbetting.

So perhaps this law doesn't get anywhere and if it does, the courts immediately block it. I may not need to sue as there are probably bigger entities already setting up to take it to court, like I am.

They could appeal but I don't think the Supreme will even hear it, as they've already ruled.

So let's see what happens.

Basically. But the management of the market is a little different, though not much.

But, in the same way that we can say it's like sportsbetting, we can actually say it's even more like trading stocks and futures.

The comparison is closer to those markets than the bookie. Though I admit only by an inch.

Time to stop using the term "gambling" to discriminate action.

No trade day last two days.

WIth MLB starting up I'll be shifitng focus, and maybe trading the NBA, for scalps.

Sad to see Hoops go, can't wait to trade football.

Until then, I'm not sure what summer will bring. WNBA is there, as always. I have to decide just how hard to work to generate MLB plays, and just how much patience to exhibit.

Can be real easy to turn the trading desk into a grind, like I did this weekend, as opposed to an excercise in patience.

Yeah, that liquidity is needed. One of the reasons I was daytrading stocks for the last half of last year.

I noticed some of the alt spreads and totals, even in big hoops games, would trade a little thin and choppy.

Many of the times in this thread where I say I was trying to get in or out but "just missed" were often the result of wide spreads jumping around because of low volume

Even when I create the liquidity, you'll see sometimes say I get filled at a low price I wasn't expecting or sold a higher price I was trying to move.

Those are liquidity sweeps that somebody is doing.
