Following a big upset over the Buffalo Bills at home, the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) are en route to Indianapolis. As for the Colts (4-5), they stomped the New York Jets at home and will be looking to do the same to JAX.
Which team stays hot this week? Below, we’ll take a look at the early NFL odds and best sportsbooks to bet with.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts
Sunday, November 14, 2021 – 1:00 PM ET at Lucas Oil Stadium
The Jaguars entered last week as 14.5-point underdogs and remain the big underdogs for this matchup. As for the Colts, they were 10-point favorites in Week 9 and are still the favored team this week. According to BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review), Indy is a 10-point favorite over JAX with the over/under at 47.5.
The Matchup
The Jaguars led by first-year NFL head coach Urban Meyer shocked the world when they beat the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, 9-6. The Jaguars’ defense showed up and held Buffalo to zero touchdowns, then again the Bills D did the same to Jacksonville. Still, the Jags forced three turnovers and sacked Josh Allen four times. Jaguars’ own Allen dominated with eight tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, an interception, AND a fumble recovery.

This wasn’t an outstanding performance by the Jaguars by any means, but more so that they were lucky that Buffalo showed up with the sloppy ball and proved that nobody is actually safe in this league. In the win, QB Trevor Lawrence threw for 118 yards on 15-of-26 passing, and running back Carlos Hyde rushed for 67 yards on 21 carries. They should even have James Robinson healthy for this one.
The five teams that the embarrassing Jags have fallen victim to before getting their first win were the Texans, Broncos, Bengals, Titans and Cardinals. They then managed a victory over the Dolphins before getting shut out by the Russell Wilson-less Seattle Seahawks.

As for the Colts, they almost didn’t cover on Thursday Night Football but ended up doing so by beating the Jets 45-30. It helped that Mike White was injured early, leaving the Jets to settle for their third-string QB. In the win over New York, Colts’ QB Carson Wentz recorded 272 yards and three scores through the air while RB Jonathan Taylor led the groundwork with 172 yards and two touchdowns off 19 carries.
The Colts also kicked off the season on a rocky note, losing to the Seahawks, Rams, and Titans, before finally beating the Miami Dolphins. Since then they’ve won three of their last five games.
Prediction
It’s hard to believe in a Jaguars team that has been so bad all season and gotten extremely lucky twice. However, it is also hard to trust a Colts defense that has been inconsistent all year and just gave up 486 in addition to 30 first downs against a terrible New York Jets team.

The Jaguars won’t win this one easily but there is a chance they cover. Still, I wouldn’t throw money on this one unless I’m desperate.
