Bayerns seems to have lost any hope of seeing an outsider challenging them for the title after trashing Leverkusen 1-5, in what was supposed to be a big match for Bundesliga. Bayern looks forward to squeezing Hoffenheim while Dortmund in Koln will have to prove that Bundesliga isn’t like Champions for them. Meanwhile, Wolfsburg see themselves in the mirror when playing against Freiburg.
Bayern Munich vs. TSG Hoffenheim
Bundesliga, Round 9

It’s only -3 for Leverkusen, but the way Bayern got rid of them shows that the idea of being champions is over for Bayer. Bavarians keep marching on, as proved on the last 0-4 in Benfica. At some point in the game, they were all together on the pitch: Lewandowski, Mueller, Sané, Coman, Gnabry, and still the team was able to support them without any struggle.
Bayern is already pumping irresistible football, and as per usual their problem will be to last like this until May - it’s not a coincidence that the only season, when they maintained the same pace, was the Covid affected one because the two-month break gave them the opportunity to recover energies for their very demanding style.
Obviously, Hoffenheim can’t be the obstacle in the way. True, Bayern got distracted several times this season already, but they seem to have taken care of that, so it shouldn’t happen again against minor teams, at least not anytime soon. As usual, it’s always hard to find any value on soccer odds involving Bayern winning, but all in all, in their very proactive attitude they are never shy to concede chances, therefore a combo of them winning by conceding goals is definitely a fruitful bet and my soccer pick as well.

1. FC Cologne vs. Bayer Leverkusen
Bundesliga, Round 9
Sunday, October 24, 2021 - 09:30 AM EDT at RheinEnergieStadion
The humble pie wasn’t eaten by Leverkusen: it was directly shoved down their throat. The Betis game in Europa League at Sevilla is not helping in any way to recover mind energy, and actually, Leverkusen could make it to this game without the necessary focus.
Their main problem is that they are facing an absolutely respectable opponent in Koln, 7th in the table and just having suffered their second defeat of the season. But 5-0 in Hoffenheim, was their worst score last year, very different from the level of performances they normally have, so the alarms are on for Leverkusen: 3 wins and 1 draw for Koln in their home games for this season, a draw could be enough for Leverkusen.

VfL Wolfsburg vs. SC Freiburg
Bundesliga, Round 9

Down, down, down, ever falling down! Brian Eno’s soundtrack seems to have gotten stuck on the last Wolfsburg weeks; since they reached up for the sun, they got burned and started to fall in both performances, and the result is seven winless games and three defeats in a row is their worst streak in last 2 years.
The way they lost in Salzburg during Champions spoke loud about their current ability to compete, just outpaced from a team that was supposed to be lower on a technical side. Now they’re seeing themselves in the mirror: Freiburg is the best outsider at the moment, 4th of the table and unbeaten in this season! The odds on a double chance out at the top betting sites are awfully high considering how reliable Freiburg have been.
