Monday’s schedule features a decent slate of MLB action, and we have narrowed our choices down to two MLB predictions that are brimming with value.
We will discuss these matchups and reveal why they are our MLB picks today as we bolster our bankroll for the week ahead.
MLB Picks Today At-a-glance
Our best baseball bets feature wagers on a pair of American League showdowns on Monday night. The LA Angels will send southpaw Yusei Kikuchi to the hill to face the Yankees’ righty Will Warren in the Bronx.
In the later AL tilt, we see the Red Sox handing the ball to their ace, Garrett Crochet, who pitched a dandy against the Brewers in his last outing. He will face Minnesota’s 6’9’ righty Bailey Ober, who also fared well in his most recent performance in an 8-6 win over the Tigers.
Let’s analyze these matchups, find out how these teams compare, and identify which two are the sharp sides in these Monday night contests.
Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Yankees
Monday, April 13, 2026 – 7:05 PM ET at Yankee Stadium
The Angels are fresh off taking two of three from the Reds, including a 9-6 victory on Sunday. But now they will pack their bags and head to the iconic Yankee Stadium on Monday, where they will begin a four-game set in the Bronx.
Los Angeles will send 34-year-old southpaw Yusei Kikuchi (0-2, 6.75 ERA, 1.77 WHIP) to the mound, where he will attempt to redeem himself after two underwhelming starts to begin the season. The Japanese import has allowed 9 runs on 12 hits over 10.1 innings and has taken losses against both the Cubs and the Braves.
Twenty-six-year-old Will Warren (1-0, 3.07 ERA, 1.30 WHIP) will do the honors for the Yankees, where he is coming off a solid performance against the A’s on Wednesday when he surrendered two runs on five hits over 4.2 innings, which resulted in a 3-2 loss.
Clearly, the Yankees have a substantial pitching edge as well as the home-field advantage. Moreover, New York is ranked No. 3 in run differential (+21) versus the Angels’ -4, placing them 21st of 30 teams in that category.
Lastly, the Bombers are in the midst of a five-game slide, and normally that would be a negative, but this team is too talented to allow that streak to continue. Let’s eschew the MLB odds moneyline here and opt for the run line in this one, as the Yankees will win going away.

Boston Red Sox vs. Minnesota Twins
Monday, April 13, 2026 – 7:40 PM ET at Target Field
Don’t look now, but the Boston Red Sox are coming alive, winning four of their last five contests and claiming two of three against the Brewers and Cardinals in their last two series.
On Monday night, the Red Sox will continue their winning streak by starting their ace, Garrett Crochet (2-1, 3.12 ERA, 1.04 WHIP), who rebounded from a tough outing against the Astros to secure a crucial 3-2 victory against the Brewers on Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out seven over 6.1 innings.
Minnesota will counter with Bailey Ober (1-0, 5.27 ERA, 1.24 WHIP), who was last seen getting an 8-6 win over Detroit on Wednesday when he held the Tigers to just a pair of runs on five hits over 5.2 innings.
The Red Sox have won five of their last seven against the Twins, and they have found their mojo after struggling mightily in the early going, scoring an average of six runs per game over their last six contests.
It was just a matter of time before this Boston offense caught fire, and after reviewing the MLB odds, the matchup looks like a golden opportunity to take the visitors and make some cash.

The MLB picks I posted today have specific odds, but they don’t remain stagnant forever. Odds, run lines, and totals are dynamic, which means the moneylines, run lines, and totals you see here may not be around by gametime.
This means it is essential that you obtain the sharpest line available, and the only way to do that is to immediately wager on your preferred games and ensure you have an active account.
That’s right, make sure your account is funded, and perhaps get accounts at two or more sportsbooks so you can compare the numbers. But the key is to get down at a place you trust and with the best lines or odds available.
