that what they saying here, but it going to take this team imo some time to start winning again and i dont think he want that problem
I don't think there is anything to draw him there. Like you said, they are 2-3 years min from winning and that's if they turnover some personnel for better players.

But, I guess Panther fans can always hope.

I wonder CK if the new coach moves on from B. Young. It's pretty obvious he does not have an NFL Caliber arm. He is probably at back up in this league at best. Granted CAR needs to upgrade O-line and receivers but still I think Young is not the answer. Man did they screw up by not taking Stroud.

Bigger question is - who is dumb enough to come aboard with present ownership?

Went down to the opener last year while we were still in NC to see both my Browns - easily were 70% Browns fans in that stadium. We had seats to Lions last year too and planned on spending Xmas in Charlotte - but fortunately scratched that with the weather.

Fan apathy, a meddling owner who wants to win now and losing this years #1 and a talented offensive weapon- all to get a back QB last year hurt - worse they just have sucked at talent evaluation for some time. There is no worse job in the NFL right now (maybe Tennessee once Derrick Henry is cut - but still more talent overall.

Only way out of this is getting lucky on a few pickups in free agency and overpaying. Rebuild the defense next year, hire a young coach who can connect with the players and get them to buy in and then win 9 games - you might have a chance.

No way they move on from Young yet - they won’t admit to that big of a mistake so soon. The cupboards not completely bare though and 9 wins should take the division most years. Best case - they win despite having Young - draft a backup in the 4/5th round this year and the backup pushes him out in a couple of years. This team shouldn’t be this bad - but just speaks to their management. Need look no further than the practice facility build debacle to see how seriously screwed up that team was.

DJeff, spot-on. That's what I was going to say.

It's not so much that there's a vacancy. Better Q: Who is dumb enuf to take the job? It's a bad job.

The new coach is hand-cuffed to Young for at least one more year. Logic says that the new HC won't be a big name. It will be a name that wouldn't get a HC job elsewhere.

Tepper is pretty short-sighted to have fired Reich so quickly. Tepper is going to burn thru money paying out these bad contracts.
