The Death of the MLB Dime Line

Very disappointing to see the MLB linesets at the big books this season. Higher juice overall (especially at Bookmaker) and breaking at a lower number. I'm looking at a -127/+113 at bookmaker and -152/+138 at betonline now (different games, just random examples). Gross. If this is what they absolutely have to do to stay in business I guess I get it. But to me, these books are competing with the exchanges. The hold should be getting lower, not higher. Right now, the line value at exchanges is doing laps around what they're offering. Solid liquidity at the exchanges too. I'm guessing bookmaker and bols handle will be much lower for MLB this season.

I'm looking at a -115/+102 at BM and -115/+104 at bol right now. Maybe bookmaker is dealing different lines, I'm not sure. My pricing matches my odds screen though. i was heavily limited at youwager back in the day and haven't gone back since, will take another look at them, thanks.

If you have to pick just one book to start, YouWager definitely has the best non-exchange money lines un-regulated, not totals though.

Not sure where they break the dime line at this year, but from today's games, it's still a dime at -179.

They are different with their limiting.

They seem to limit certain stuff but not blanket everything across the board.

You may see 10k, 5k, 300 or $1 limits on different sports or even same sports, different markets.

Maybe Bet105 can seize this opportunity and offer baseball bettors a low juice option?

It's unfortunate but yeah, there's no way they are going to be able to compete with exchanges on pricing but if you look at the Odds Screens today, Bet105 is pretty competitive, some of the best prices in some of the games, at least for today.

dimelines exist but the point where they break is key. like was mentioned YW is a must have. Between Px, NV, YW, 105, and BOL for the occasional bet, your theoretical hold in MLB close to game time should be very low.
