Hi!

I´m a newbie bettor and have three questions to run by perhaps the most informed bettors out there

1. I´m thinking about buying either Jimmy Boyd´s or Bobby Wing´s 1-year all sport pass but have found out that their picks (point spreads) are sometimes in dissonace with those on Pinnacle where I have my account and bet on my matches. Now the question: should I still go on with purchasing one of the packages (cca. $1500/year) and risk some of the point spreads might differ (by a point or two...but still) from those on Pinnacle or shop around among other bookies and find the best matching ones??? (Here it is important to mention that the reason I want to stick with Pinnacle is that it is EU based (Malta) and hence offer tax-free winnings for us EU bettors.)

2. Why is there a moneyline standing next to the random NBA point spread (ex: Celtics. +7 vs. Kings -110) when the former (point spread) alone is enough to successfully bet the outcome of the match in question?? Very confusing...

3. What are the personal experiences of this forum´s bettors with cappers from www.sportscapping.com, does anyone use their services? Who would be "the most trusted" or, alternatively, most "profitable" capper regardless of sport??

Thanks,
Erik (Sweden)

Hi there & welcome to the forum!

The first thing im going to suggest to you, as will the majority of other experienced bettors, is to refrain from paying services & touts for sports picks.

It may be difficult to understand why in the beginning, but you will learn & find that there are sports betting forums out there where other members/bettors post their picks on a regular basis, and are just as good, better, and/or consistent than those you are paying for plays.
This should address questions 1 & 3.

As for question #2, can you be more specific?

There are point spreads, and then there is a moneyline alternative in which you can wager on either team to win the game STRAIGHT UP, where points are not a factor.

Welcome to the BMR Forum. Erik we highly do not recommenced that you pay for picks. Where you pay for selections you go from laying say -110 on a basketball game to laying much more. (This is because you are already down the 1500 for paying for picks) So you need to not only win on your wagers but you now need to recoup the initial 1500 investment for another person to pick winners for you. This fee is also yearly, so you would pay again next year. Say over ten years you pay 15,000...this means you would need to recover this fee AND continue to bet winners to maintain profitable.

Best of luck and see you in the Forum!

Many people feel like they don't have the time to expertise to handicap properly themselves and want to pay an "expert". Trouble is there really is not an "expert" out there that actually wins all the time. They are just experts in selling/marketing 95% of the time and don't even care if their cappers win or lose mostly.
