After a conversation with KVB in the attached thead below about methods, tracking, vig, and, what you should look for in sportsbooks, I looked up the vig data on sportsbooks.

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that US books "hold" is continuing to increase every hear. The betting line odds we all see daily confirm that.

Most onshore books are garbage. Juice is crazy. Even Superbook adopted the 25 cent MLB model.
Atlantis (Reno) and Monarch Colorado (same company) best onshore books. Low juice.
Offshore still has low juice at many places. Especially compared to onshore.

Yes because of high juice nothing else

Vegas juice way tighter

Offshore way tighter
Is these other US shops know Joe blow bettor Johnny down tbe road will pay whatever juice for that team that has to win.

Just wait when the books claim a % fee off the winning tickets like Tijuana does.

or claim it’s to help the employees health care.

Good stuff Tanko, but proceed with caution here.

Those hold percentages might be including Futures as well, which will jack up the percentages.

A place like DK is not keeping 7% on a typical MLB game, for example, it will be more like 4% while a house like Pinny will be half that.

The point is still made, but even the lower hold books will spike at times, before tightening up.

True. It is the total hold for the books but, I'm betting if I go through some historical odds data I have in spreadsheets, we'd see larger spreads on lines way above the typical vig of years gone by.
Right now, I'm a little too lazy to do it though.

My Gawd to see some of the odds boosts from what are already terrible payouts just makes me sick.

Gamblers remain broadly misinformed, and continue not to care.

We need to open a domestic book, Gold, we can run it for real.
