A dearth of sports coming. Get your fix in today.

Monday - No sports (except maybe some 2nd tier stuff or uncommon sports).
Tuesday - All-Star game and UEFA soccer
Wednesday - UEFA Soccer

What do we do over these 3 days with little or nothing to make a play on?

Its depressing...

we might try this one

1 – Wife-Carrying

Wife-carrying. Does it sound like a guy that can’t let go of his ex? Maybe. But it’s an actual sport that started in Northern Europe.

The basics are simple. A person has to carry their partner (they don’t necessarily have to be married to the carrier). Either way, the two-person team must go through a challenging obstacle course. The team that finishes the course the fastest wins the game.

In Ireland, this is a professional sport that gamblers legitimately bet on. Paddy Power is the title sponsor of the All-Ireland Wife Carrying Championship. The Irish love to bet on this event.

Other countries like Estonia, Australia, and Finland are also big wife-carrying countries. Residents here also bet on the bizarre sport. Finland happens to be the home of the Wife Carrying World Championship.

Tank. Y’all ever go to the Texas Coast? If so, where?

We used to go to South Padre once a summer as a kid and teen. Also Port A. I like Galveston. Beaches aren’t that great but I love the town/food there. A buddy just bought a house on the water in Surfside

All the time BigJay. We have rent house in Corpus we've been renovating so we're down there all the time. Port A has the best beaches in that area. Corpus Christi beaches S U C K unless you go out on Padre Island National Seashore.

Haven't been to South Padre in years.

We were at Galveston beaches a couple years ago. Son lived there for a while. We really loved that town. Lots of stuff to do and a whole lot of places to party.

Surfside... We used to live in Lake Jackson and a friend owned a house in Surfside we'd party at a lot. Did you ever eat at the Red Snapper Inn there? It was fantastic seafood. Have not idea if its still around. There also used to be a restaurant/bar on a docked barge in the ship channel there. They had great blue crab. I think its gone though. There was also a bait camp on the North side of Oyster Creek that had the best Gumbo ever. It was a complete dive. No door on the place, no windows. The floors had holes you could see through into the creek (place was built on a dock). There were all kinds of critters running around but it was awesome Gumbo. Guy that ran it was a cajun as they come. He must have been 80 y.o..

Sorry for the book.
You're bringing back memories BigJay.
