Just one play for me on tonights contest between Dallas and Minnesota. I had trouble picking a side because I lean Dallas plus the points since they have the rest advantage and Minnesota tends to start slow so I can see them having to come from behind to win this game. I also expect a pretty close game tonight so those points could be valuable but in the end I went with the Under because I feel it's the stronger play. Minnesota is an elite defense as we all know by now and Dallas not only plays a methodical pace but has improved greatly on defense with the additions of Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington. I think this sets up to be a low scoring ball game that is close all the way to the fourth Quarter so I played Under 207 tonight.

0-1 tonight and I'm kind of kicking myself because my read was right that Dallas was the play in this game but I went with the Under instead. Oddly it almost stayed under but both teams played well offensively especially Dallas as they scored a nice upset victory over Minnesota. On to tomorrow where we get game 2 of the Boston/Indiana series.

For tonights game I made a couple of plays that I feel strongly about. First I took the points with Indiana tonight. I think they'll once again play Boston tough and make this a game because they have some matchups that give Boston problems and they're going to be able to score the ball. I expect a pretty high scoring game tonight because both teams like to run and can score in bunches. I stopped short of taking an over for the full game because I like Indiana to score more than 56 points again in the first half tonight because they have been shooting the ball well lately and they play such a high pace that I'm expecting plenty of points in the first half. I think the Pacers can win this game because Boston often lets teams hang around like they did in game 1 and they've lost game 2 in every series so far. I didn't take the +300 on Indiana ML tonight but I can see sprinkling a half unit on that if you're looking for a score because I really do think Indiana hangs around in this game again and this time maybe they finish the job and steal game 2 on the road.

I feel good about this one. Like I said I feel the Pacers are live and aren't getting enough respect in the market. I can see hanging Boston -9 if Porzingis were playing but he's not so I can see the Pacers hanging around here and I feel 8.5 is way too many points. They may not win the game but I don't see them getting blown out in game 2.

0-2 as the Pacers limp their way to a blowout loss and lose Haliburton in the process. They also couldn't score more than 56 in the first half so perhaps I should have taken the full game over instead of messing with team totals because it got there thanks to the Celtics hanging 126 tonight on the Pacers to take a 2-0 lead. On to tomorrow where the Wolves will look to bounce back against the Mavs.

Tonight we get game 2 of the Dallas/Minnesota series and I'm backing Minnesota to cover the spread. This is a fairly big line in a game that I expect to be competitive but I think Minnesota gets it done here. They will play desperate because they don't want to go down 2-0 so I think they'll jump out to an early lead in the first half and close it out in the second half to cover the spread. I kind of expect Dallas to let their guard down a little because they did their job in taking one game in Minnesota to steal home court advantage. So I see Minnesota playing a much better game tonight and evening the score while covering 5.5 in the process.

I think game 1 was a tough spot for them because they were coming off an emotional comeback game 7 win and only had one day to rest. Just a tough spot but tonight I expect them to play better so I backed them and hopefully they'll make the adjustments needed to get the cover.

0-1 tonight as Luka steals Minnesota's soul on the road with a game winning 3. I think this is a backbreaker for Minnesota in more ways than one as now they're not only down 0-2 but they have no answers for the Dallas duo of Luka and Kyrie. Those guys are elite shot makers and that's something Minnesota does not have and now their facing a huge 0-2 hole to dig out of. Unlike Denver I'm not sure Minnesota can get this back to Minnesota 2-2 like the last series where Denver took 2 on the road to even the series. They may be able to do it but Luka and Kyrie look determined to close this one out and I don't think Minnesota can stop them.

Today I have one play on the game and it's on the Celtics to go over their team total which is 115. This game should once again be played at a high pace and while I expect Boston to win I'm not sure they cover the 7.5 and also while I lean to the full game over 222.5 I am just betting on Boston's offense here. They are the best offense in the league and shoot a ton of threes. I don't think Indiana can stop them so going over 115 should be no problem for Boston in a game I expect to be high scoring by both teams.

Well that was a crazy finish and another loss for me unfortunately as the Celtics exploded in the fourth Quarter but fall short of going over their team total by 2 points. On to tomorrow where the Wolves will try to get one in Dallas and I'll try to get back on track with my picks.

Minnesota Timberwolves 1H ML -114 1.14u to win 1u

My only play on the game tonight is on Minnesota in the first half. I don't trust them to win this game after what we've seen in the first two games because Dallas has a knack for hanging around and closing late. What I do trust is Minnesota playing with a sense of urgency in the first half and once again leading at halftime. They've won the first half in both games in this series and I think that continues here because they're desperate and also because I expect Anthony Edwards to play his best game since the Denver series. He really hasn't played well in this series but with the Wolves backs against the wall I see him coming out here and taking it upon himself to lead this team to a win. Whether they are able to do that or not I'm not sure because Dallas has come back in the second half after making adjustments at halftime which is why I'm only playing Minnesota in the first half here.

I'm back with a couple of plays on this Memorial Day game between Boston and Indiana. First I'm on the full game over 222.5 because the only way I see Indiana winning tonight is if they get it into a high scoring game played at a track meet pace. Boston is happy to play whatever style you want to play at and I think this game will be played at Indiana's pace because that's their only chance to win imo so I see it going over 222.5. I also played Indiana's team total over because I feel this bet makes sense if you like the full game over since I see this game played at Indiana's pace and that usually means Indiana will put up a lot of points whether they win or lose tonight.

0-2 last night as Indiana couldn't go over 108 after going scoreless for the last 3 and half minutes and got swept by Boston in the process. I'm cold right now but I'm going to try and find a winner in tonights game between Dallas and Minnesota.
