Question for you Lonnie. How did a kid from NY grow up to be a Steel city fan? And have you ever been there?

In the late 70s when I was first getting into sports I developed a hatred for the Cowboys (America’s Team) and a liking for the what seemed to me the less-glitzy, tougher, more gritty and blue-collar Steelers. And from there moving forward I latched onto the Pirates and Penguins as well.

And I was in Pittsburgh once in 2004 for a weekend Brewers/Pirates series when the Pirates really sucked. Stadium was beautiful though.
