Hi,

I tried signing up for a Heritage Account yesterday and received this response. "A customer support staff member has replied to your support request, # with the following response:

Your signup request was denied by the security system we have in place for new signups. You will not be able to open an account with Heritage Sports. Good luck wherever you decide to play.

We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If not, please do not send another email. Instead, reply to this email or login to your account for a complete archive of all your support requests and responses."

So I contacted Heritage Sports today and was told that I needed to contact sales via phone or email. So when I called the phone number provided by the customer service rep. it was a phone number for an AARP Insurance #. So then I emailed "sales@heritagesports.com" and received this response:

"That sign up request was denied by the industry shared, automated security system and we will be unable to create the new account. Take care."

I have never had an account with Heritage Sports in the past and have in no way been affiliated with their website. Actually the first time that I ever went on the site was last night. Has anyone else run into this problem and why am I being denied signing up for an account? I'm not even given a reason why I'm being denied to open a new account it's just denied. Can someone please help me out?

I am more concern with their statement of industry shared, automated security system. So someone sharing your info with out permission?

Thanks for the reply. If that's the "interpreted' reason then I guess it's ok for a sportsbook to share someone's information without their permission..scary. I emailed them back and asked for a reason but have not heard back.

It is not uncommon for Heritage to decline new signup requests. It can feel rude but no need to take it personally.

They rarely explain their reasons, but it is thought it is often about your location. You may also have been profiled as extra sharp at one of their sister books. Or possibly charged back a deposit at one of the offshores that share a list of those.

They won't explain much more about their reasons or their screening system even to BMR.

Thanks for the reply Matt. Yes it does feel rude as I'm not given a reason as to why I can't signup for an account. For one, it can't be my location as my country is allowed. Which sites are their sister sites? I don't know what a charge back and even though I don't know exactly what it is, I know that I have never done one or tried to "rip-off" any sportsbook.

Take it as a badge of honor.

EVdaily, your reputation precedes you.

Heritage trembles in fear as Evdaily stares over looking at his next pray.
Thanks hazliam and funny to. No need to tremble with the big red siren going off of my mere presence. With a name like evdaily, I must be one of the sharpest of sharps around..lol.

Good to know that online sportsbooks (not even sister sites) can just share your information openly and freely as they see fit ie. "The Shared List". I didn't even know that rule yet I'm Mr. Sharp..go figure.

First I ever heard of such a system.

Sounds like they check sign up info against a shared blacklist.

So what would someone need to do for one book to want to warn others via a blacklist?

- deposit scam, charge back
- multi account fraud
- customer service abuse over some dispute

probably other reasons.

Thanks for the reply Hunch. I can assure you (I know it's the internet so you can believe that or not) that I have never done any of the 3 things that you listed in your response. I guess books just have the right to not allow you to play at their site for whatever reason they see fit once your name and info is spread throughout 'The Shared List Portal". I thought sportsbooks for the most part want and welcome new customers.

I surely can't be the only person around these parts who has had this happened them. hazliam is much much sharper than me :p

It's not uncommon, you see threads like this with people having trouble signing up at Heritage and they are given various excuses.

This is the first time I've heard about an industry shared system though.

Just move on to the next I guess.

I've never seen a thread dedicated to that before. At least if you're labelled as a card-counter in a casino from what I've seen you are told that your play is too strong, etc. With Heritage I'm not even given a reason besides the I guess now dreaded "Shared List". If my play was too strong somewhere else, tell me that so I can at least wear that badge of honor with pride.

Anyways, I just wanted to check out their live lines since I believe you have to signup on Heritage to see them. I may have not even played there and from what I've read on this forum and others is that in the past couple of years they have lowered their limits, limit fast and just cater to squares now. I'm basically a $100-$200 bettor but I guess nowadays that's considered a high roller, so watch out for me "Shared List Portal"..lol!
