Update:
Let me know what you think of set-up. It was a lot harder than what I thought on getting the best games but still having accurate lines the night before. I had originally wanted to not have spreads but with no MLB their just wasn't as much to choose from to get closer to even odds on a daily basis. Than with games starting at different times and with tournaments coming up I felt it would be best to just put up a few time slots and put in games based on that. All games are used from https://www.bookmakersreview.com/odds/

I will usually post the next day's lines between 9-12 Pacific time so 12-3 am or East Coast. Scoring I made +1 pt win and -1 point loss and ties/draws zero for ease on spreadsheet. gL!!

I think its pretty straightforward. The key is to keep it simple and feel like it was quick finding the games I liked. Im sure there will be some fine tuning along the way but think its a great first step.

The -1 for losses is a good move Enikk. You have to "punish" poor performance.

I can imagine getting the lines is going to be difficult. Until MLB starts up, it might be slim pickings some days. You mentioned you considered time slots for games. That's good because you probably should always look to the later games to list. I think some may not see the list until the afternoon of the games so having a higher load of late games would keep it fair.

Exactly, if it is a big hit and BMR lets us keep it going than we can keep fine tuning it each 12 weeks.

Have to have the minus 1 since we have the max and min. Otherwise, those that play the most would win and it wouldn't be competitive.

Exactly why I didn't want spreads but would be same issue with mLs. Really no way around it including ALL sports and posting night before unless in future went by Closing odds but that would be a huge pain in the ass with arguments with posters saying they wouldn't have taken at that line. We will see who has integrity and who is just a broke fvck trying to steam their way to a contest prize.

There is a clause in rules saying about integrity of the contest that BMR forum can decide outcome. Yeah it is not in the rules saying you can't just play steam/stale lines but if everyday you wait until the last minute and only play that than you are a desperate broke dick IMO. I have seen many do it though over the years.
