Marawi City is one of the most dangerous cities in Mindanao due to terrorism. Better not go there Fly. But if you do, just proceed with caution, especially if you're a foreigner. Kidnapping is also rampant there.

I actually love Mindanao , it is a beautiful place. i told you that my friend lives there with his wife. The Taliban is alive and well there.Different generations have different issues, but who is to blame? Politicians? religions? bad influence from friends? drugs? depressions?

And I was told not to go there. I did get some weird looks. I just passed through didn’t do anything there. Bought some water and felt pretty paranoid of my surroundings though.
Completely different than the SEZ zones in Myanmar and Cambodia, those are not dangerous in my opinion, but parts of Mindanao are the real deal, very dangerous.
It all stems from the internet, without it there never would have been the social issues people have today, or at least not on the scale that we are seeing

I agree with this too. When i was 12,13 etc i was out everyday playing sports with my friends. Im 45. You never even heard of kids suicide. Never. Now its every week or so a teenager commits suicide. The younger generation is lost and they feel hopeless. Thats where God comes in. You attach your value and hope to a higher power instead of on how many likes you get on instagram and then your whole self image changes.
