Learning and speaking Vietnamese your brain has to reprogram itself. Example , we say that’s a beautiful dress. They say “ dress beautiful “ but it makes sense to them in their language but not to us and the whole language is like that.

In Vietnam many women wear traditional dresses called "Áo dài" Depending on the province, some teachers wear it daily, many banks will have the person greeting customers wearing it. You will see women wearing it all over the place . This was a place where I donate some of my time at an orphanage.View attachment 7245

It’s a different time. The average age of Vietnamese is 35 years old. They weren’t around for the war. They are very proud of their country as they should be. They have had many wars and they win them all. They love the American culture and are the nicest people in the world. They florgive but don’t forget. I hang out and drink tea on Sundays with vets from the war. They are very cool guys and I love to hear there stories.
i used to live over the lake John McCain got shot down in. I’ll post some cool war stuff soon.

It is paradise but it is extremely difficult to stay here. Unless you have a connection, it is not happening. They don't even have a retirement visa, only issue a 30 day visa, I am fortunate to be here for 9 years .... There are hoops to stay here.

I spend a lot of time traveling all over Thailand and exploring all the different temples. This is not one of my favorites but in the top 5 for sure. The temple outside the town of Chiang Rai, Wat Rong Khun aka White Temple, a must if you ever go to Thailand.

One of my favorite places in this part of the world is Kuala Lumpur, there is amazing gambling there too, all underground though. This is one of the coolest cities there are, you have to know where to go, there are some amazing things to do and see. The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers or KLCC Twin Towers, are 88-storey supertall skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, standing at 451.9 metres. This is a very cool place to see!
