As we proceed on the path to UFC 273 in just a few weeks, the first stop brings us to our home away from home, the UFC Apex Center for UFC Vegas 50.
Following a UFC 272 card that had our lock of the week become straight cash homey, we look at a card that is like a Rubix cube for the color blind, impossible to figure out. Still, let’s get into the UFC odds for this weekend.
Khalil Rountree Jr. vs. Karl Roberson
Light Heavyweight Bout
Saturday, March 12, 2022 – 10:05 PM EST at UFC Apex Center
UFC Vegas 50 Preview
Working in the world of violence for a living can have you look at everything from what can be considered a too nuanced perspective instead of trusting your gut, your cousin Leon or the lucky doll you got after you caught your mom and dad “Unicorn hunting” and to which you have an inexplicable connection to.
The problem is this sucks when you have to give a lock of the week on cards that have you deep in the weeds.

But much like asking your buddy how much the CPM is for an adult website ad buy, it's a question that needs to be answered this Saturday night inside the Baby Cage (patent pending).
My favorite fights tend to be from the higher weight classes due to the fact that I'm a larger than normal human and my growing up past includes watching the last vestiges of the heavyweight’s third golden era in boxing, which brings us to Khalil Rountree and Karl Roberson in a light heavyweight throwdown.
UFC Vegas 50 Betting Analysis
Entering into this fight, one fighter is looking to continue a trend as the other looks to stop one, with Rountree coming off a win and Roberson on a two-fight skid.
Things are not all sunshine and rainbows for Rountree, as he’s lost three of his last five fights inside the octagon, a similar trend for Roberson, whose two-fight losing streak was preceded by a two-fight winning streak.

Up until Brendan Allen defeated him at UFC 255, Roberson had always followed a loss with a victory in his pro career, and up to this point, Rountree has yet to lose more than two fights in a row as a pro fighter.
Roberson though was got by submission in both losses to Allen and Marvin Vettori, a skill we’ve yet to see from Rountree, who has gotten two-thirds of his pro wins by shutting the lights on opponents.
UFC Vegas 50 Lock on the Card
Roberson has yet to be dropped inside the octagon and has two KO’s on his record, but when you look at the majority of his wins, they’ve come on the dreaded scorecards.
