NFL Week 5 was a dreadful one for Survivor Pools and favorite backers.

The Rams kicked off the pain by losing on Thursday Night Football. It got worse for favorite backers as the unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Chargers both lost.

The final nail in the coffin was the Arizona Cardinals suffering a fourth-quarter collapse against the winless Tennessee Titans.

Let us get straight into the NFL player props for week 6 and lead off last week’s winner.

Mason Taylor: Over 35.5 Receiving yards (-110) at Bovada

Denver Broncos vs. N.Y. Jets Game – Sunday, October 12, 09:30 AM EDT

The New York Jets are having a torrid season so far, with their record standing at 0-5, but there has been no problem putting points on the board.

A growing cog in the wheel of their offence is rookie tight end Mason Taylor who we took over 39.5 receiving yards last week against the Dallas Cowboys. This week’s visitors, however, are a tough defense, whereas the Cowboys are extremely poor at stopping teams scoring.

That said, the Broncos did concede 280 yards through the air, so there is no reason to not believe that will be an issue, especially given Taylor’s repertoire of plays with quarterback Justin Fields as their understanding grows.

The last two matches with Fields back in the team, Mason Taylor has received over 60 yards in each game so there is margin to play the line of 35.5.

Drake May: Over 227.5 passing yards (-110) at BetOnline

New England Patriots vs. New Orleans Saints. Sunday, October 12, 01:00 PM EDT

Many of our player props selections have featured New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints matches, and this week the two cross swords at the Superdome.

We continue that trend by supporting the exciting New England Patriots quarterback, Drake Maye, who put in a spellbinding shift at the Buffalo Bills when he threw for 273 yards to help them pull off the shock win.

The twenty-three-year-old North Carolina graduate was pressurized well in the pocket by the Bills, so that total was exceptional, but this week against the Saints, Maye should find himself with more time.

His opening total is set at 227.5 Passing Yards, so we can confidently go over because Drake Maye has covered that total in four of the five games this campaign.

George Pickens: Anytime Touchdown (+110) at Heritage Sports

Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers – Sunday, October 12, 01:00 PM EDT

Despite the low expectations, the Dallas Cowboys have pleasantly surprised their long-suffering fan base so far this season. There is chatter that head coach Brian Schottenheimer could end up as “Coach of the Year” given the plentiful attacking permutations.

Losing CeeDee Lamb meant the Cowboys top catching option for the last two games has been Pickens who has ably deputized for the star wide receiver.

With elite quarterback, Dak Prescott back to full fitness, through the air Dallas have been a nightmare to defend and there is no reason to believe the Carolina Panthers will be able to change that.

To see George Pickens for a Touchdown, priced at plus money makes huge appeal as he leads the way for the Cowboys Touchdown count with five so far this campaign.
