Liverpool cruised to victory last season winning the English premier League by 10 points, with Arsenal coming in 2nd and Manchester City 3rd.
Ahead of this season we believe we could be in for one of the most exciting seasons in the EPL for some time as we can’t see any team running away with the title this year as has been done so in recent years (4 of the previous 6 winners had won by 5+ points, with 3 of 6 winning by 8+).
There won’t be many points separating the top four teams in the English Premier League (EPL) betting market by season’s end, in what we suspect could be a four-way title race.
Let’s take a look at the current odds available at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review) to uncover some great betting value.

Relegation Could Be on the Cards
Anybody familiar with the EPL will know that the bottom 3 teams at the end of the season will be relegated or demoted to the second division (the Championship). During most seasons, at least 2 of the 3 teams who were promoted end up getting relegated again, and there are plenty of yo-yo clubs who come up and down quite frequently.
This season, the top three favoured teams to get relegated are:
- Burnley -310
- Sunderland -310
- Leeds United -120
Unsurprisingly, the three teams who were promoted to the EPL from the Championship. Although we do agree with the odds surrounding Burnley and Sunderland, we feel theirs a stronger option betting wise than Leeds United at -120, and that’s Wolverhampton Wanderers at +310 to be relegated.
Wolverhampton finished 16th last season (just two positions from being relegated) and lost 20 games, which was the 5th most in the EPL. We don’t think they will be much stronger this season, especially with the loss of one of their star players Matheus Cunha to Manchester United.
Wolverhampton only managed to survive last season because the teams below them were abnormally poor compared to recent years. Wolves managed 38 points last season, which would put them in the relegation zone more often than not.
EPL Prediction: Wolverhampton Wanderers Relegated (+310) at Bovada (visit our Bovada Review)
A Race to The Finish
We could be in for one of the most exciting title races the EPL has seen in some time, yes we have had a few close finishes in the past 15 seasons but a four way title race is a very rare thing to see in the EPL, even a three way race to the title isn’t as frequent as one might think.
We can’t seem to separate the top four betting teams in the market, and at the very least, we are expecting this to be a three-way title race come the end of May 2026. We also wouldn’t be surprised if an outsider team manages to sneak into the top four, such as Newcastle United or Aston Villa.
Who is looking dangerous?
At this moment in time, Arsenal and Liverpool have brought in some strong players during the Transfer Market, which has really bolstered their squads. Overall, it’s fair to say Arsenal’s squad has made the most improvement thus far (at least on paper).
The Gunners have made some key signings, bringing in the Likes of Victor Gyokeres and Martin Zubemendi as well as a strong supporting cast such as Noni Madueke and Kepe Arrizabalaga from Chelsea. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is set to join Arsenal, which would be the icing on the cake, but that’s not official yet.
Liverpool have brought in some top talent also, with Florian Writz and Hugo Ekitike brought in to bolster their already formidable attacking force. Compared to these two players alone cost is 220 million.
For us, it’s likely going to be one of these two teams who win the EPL this season, and honestly, it’s impossible to choose between them. So with that said, Arsenal is likely the best bet to win the league as they are at +210 odds compared to Liverpool at +175.
What About The Rest
Manchester City had their worst season in years last time out, and although they will no doubt come back stronger this season, we feel the Pep Guardiola era is coming to an end and Manchester City.
That being said, Man City could still finish within 5 to 7 points of the overall winner, don’t be surprised if it’s less than five. Thus far, Man City have spent around 130 million bringing in two midfielders and two wing-backs. Their biggest purchase was Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan.
The final team that could be in with a chance of winning the league this season is Chelsea. They ended their last campaign winning the Conference League, and the Club World Cup had the best record in the EPL during the final five games of the season.
Chelsea are on the up, and they will be very dangerous this season at +900 EPL betting odds. Based on the odds, we would bet on Chelsea over Manchester City.
Final Standings Points Predictions
- Arsenal 86 Points
- Liverpool 84 Points
- Chelsea 80 Points
- Manchester City 78 Points
- Aston Villa 67 Points
