It’s Bowl season in the world of college football, but we also get the first round of the 2025-26 College Football Playoffs (CFP) starting this Friday with a banger of a rematch between Oklahoma and Alabama. We’ve found the best player props for that matchup and more CFP action with the latest odds from top-rated sportsbooks.

CFP First Round Prop Bets At-a-Glance

For this week’s best football player props, we are looking at the quarterbacks in Oklahoma vs. Alabama after both were Heisman Trophy finalists earlier this season. We also have our eye on a certain quarterback to throw an interception when Miami takes on Texas A&M in a Saturday playoff game.

Oklahoma’s John Mateer (Under 200.5 Passing Yards (-115) at Bovada)

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Oklahoma Sooners – December 19, 2025, 08:00 PM ET

Earlier this season, Oklahoma dual-threat quarterback John Mateer looked like he had a real shot at the Heisman. He averaged 303.8 passing yards per game in his first four games, but with October thumb surgery slowing him down, he’s only averaged 194.7 passing yards since then. He’s also averaging just 6.3 yards per attempt, so his efficiency and volume are down.

Worse, Mateer threw for a season-low 138 yards at Alabama despite the 23-21 upset win. He didn’t move the offense well (Sooners had 212 total yards), and it’s not like the running game was dominant (28 carries for 74 yards). But the Sooners didn’t ask him to throw much, nor did he show much as a passer in that game.

Oklahoma’s scoring has been down, and this game figures to be heavy on defense with a total of just 40.5 points in Norman. The Crimson Tide lost 28-7 to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, but they only let Gunner Stockton pass for 156 yards. Look for Alabama to tighten up on defense and keep Mateer under 200.5 passing yards again.

Miami’s Carson Beck (Over 0.5 Passes Intercepted (-115) at Bovada)

Miami Hurricanes vs. Texas A&M Aggies – December 20, 2025, 12:00 PM ET

Some people these days think you’re hating on their team’s quarterback when you say their best player prop is to throw an interception. But it’s not our fault some players are just wired that way to mess up in the big moments, and Georgia-turned-Miami quarterback Carson Beck has been one of those players in his college career.

Beck threw 12 interceptions with Georgia last season, including 3 games with 3 interceptions each against teams like Alabama, Texas, and Florida. This season for Miami, Beck was picked 4 times when he was the Heisman favorite in that upset loss to Louisville. He also threw a pair of picks in an overtime loss against SMU. He threw one pick in his last game against Pitt.

The Aggies are not an Ohio State-level great defense, but they are above average (41st in scoring), and they’ve held quarterbacks to 55.6% completions and 182.8 yards per game. Let’s trust them to pick off Beck at least once in this big first-round playoff matchup
