NCAAF Odds Week 14 At-a-glance

The Texas Longhorns broke out offensively last weekend, scoring 52 points. However, the “can’t-miss” defense allowed 37 points to Arkansas in the 52-37 win. It’ll be intriguing to see how Texas performs against an undefeated Texas A&M Aggies team to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive.

In addition to that game, there are many other exciting matchups, including Ohio State against Michigan. The Wolverines have Ohio State’s number, but this year, it feels like the Buckeyes will be super focused.

Let’s discuss some of the top big games of the week.

Texas A&M Aggies vs. Texas Longhorns (+2.5)

Friday, November 28 – 7:30 PM ET

The Texas A&M Aggies are a perfect 11-0. But they’ll have to hit the road to take on the Texas Longhorns in a huge rivalry matchup to close out the regular season. The Aggies were hit with a scare two weeks ago, ultimately beating South Carolina, 31-30, at home. In that game, the Aggies trailed by four scores and rallied back in the second half. If the Aggies come out that flat against Texas, it’ll be over.

Plus, despite Texas allowing 37 points, the Longhorns still have the more consistent defense. They’ve given up 20 points per game and have been much better at tackling this season.

If the Longhorns continue their up-tempo style of offense, it’ll create more possessions for both teams. The score might get high, but if Texas scores on most possessions, they’ll win this football game

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines (+9.5)

Saturday, November 29 – 12:00 PM ET

Ohio State didn’t play its best game last week against Rutgers. Yes, the Buckeyes still won, 42-9, but the offense was bailed out by Rutgers’ multiple penalties last week. The team didn’t have its two top receivers, who were ultimately resting up to play against Michigan in this one.

Either way, after the last couple of seasons, Ohio State will be super prepared to save embarrassment again.

They’re facing a Michigan team that is 9-2 and looking to reach the College Football Playoff. Michigan has a lot to play for. A win over the No. 1 team in the nation could seriously propel them into a CFP spot. At home, Michigan will give them fits. Yet, Ohio State will find a way and likely cover the spread late in the game.

Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Tennessee Volunteers (-2.5)

Saturday, November 29 – 3:30 PM ET

Diego Pavia has one last game to prove that he deserves the Heisman Award. He likely won’t win it, but his performance last weekend against Kentucky definitely opened up some eyes again. Pavia threw for 484 yards and has Vanderbilt on the cusp of a College Football Playoff berth. A win over Tennessee on the road could be the win that Vanderbilt needs to make that push.

And man, the College Football Playoff would be so much better with Pavia in it.
