While there are three games on Thanksgiving, there’s also a matchup on Amazon Prime Video for Black Friday between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles.
This is arguably the best game of the four-game slate between Thursday and Friday. After all, the Bears and Eagles are both at the top of their divisions with an 8-3 record.
While the Bears are on a four-game winning streak, the Eagles just lost a heartbreaking game to the Dallas Cowboys after choking away a 21-point lead. How will the Eagles respond on their home turf?
We’ve got Thursday night football picks in addition to Black Friday football bets. Our football bets have been red hot this season. Let’s keep it going!
Best Bets for Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are currently 8-3 on the season. But if you read social media and listened to their fan base, you’d think they had a losing record. That’s because the offense hasn’t performed as well as in recent years.
The Eagles have scored just 23.18 points per game and have averaged 193.18 yards in the air per game. In addition, Saquon Barkley and the running game haven’t even popped off. They’ve averaged 110.45 yards per game on the ground, which isn’t very great with a running quarterback.
On the flip side, the Bears have averaged 26.27 points per game and have earned more passing and rushing yards. The defense has allowed nearly one more touchdown per game, but in terms of yards, they’re almost identical to the Eagles.
The Bears have struggled with their secondary at times this season. However, the Eagles have struggled with their passing game. Something will have to give. It’s hard to imagine the Eagles are a full touchdown better than an 8-3 Bears squad, though.
Black Friday Football Odds (Eagles -7)
Our BMR prediction indicates the Eagles should win 24-20. That would mean the Bears would win against the spread in this Black Friday matchup. The Eagles opened as 7.5-point favorites but are now -7.
The Bears have something about them. They’re finding ways to win tight games, coming up clutch when it matters most, and doing the little things well to close out games.
Caleb Williams has thrown for over 2,500 yards this season, and he’s got a ton of great wide receivers to throw to. The team is developing under head coach Ben Johnson. They’ve got all the momentum heading into this game.
On the other hand, the Eagles made some major moves at the NFL Trade Deadline to improve the defense, especially in the secondary. It’s been better, but it still isn’t up to par with the rest of the team.

Black Friday Football Picks (Bears +7)
At the end of the day, neither secondary has played well throughout the season. The Eagles surely have the better pass rush, but Chicago’s pass protection has held up so far this season.
Funny enough, the Bears have the better running game. They’re also more innovative on offense, despite the Eagles doing the tush push multiple times a game.
The Eagles will need to run the ball effectively against the Bears. But so far, the consistency just isn’t there. In turn, look for the Bears to dominate in the run game and break a bunch of tackles against Philadelphia. The Eagles have missed countless tackles this season. That could be the difference in a predicted tight game.
Chicago Bears’ Caleb Williams (Over 220.5 Passing Yards -110)
Caleb Williams just threw for 239 passing yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. He’s hit this line in only 45% of games this season. However, he’s facing an Eagles team that hasn’t been consistent defensively in the secondary.
Plus, the Eagles have missed a lot of tackles this season. Williams is big enough to break a couple of tackles in the pocket to allow time for receivers to get open.
Plus, he’s thrown at least 32 passing attempts in five consecutive games. The Bears are becoming increasingly comfortable with allowing Williams to throw the football. It’s also working, as the Bears won four straight. As an underdog, Williams should throw the football plenty. Take his Over for this game’s top player prop.
Best On Chicago Magic!
The Chicago Bears are one of the most exciting stories in the NFL. They’re a young team with a young coach, finding ways to win game after game. They’re not dominating opponents, but they’re staying the course and continue to give themselves a chance to win when the fourth quarter arrives.
While most sportsbooks are carrying -7 for the Eagles, a few sites are still listing +7.5 for the Bears. You likely won’t see those lines available much longer. Timing is everything, so go grab the Bears at +7.5. That number is huge when betting on football.
It’s why I’ll be rocking with the Bears for my Friday night football bets.
