2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Picks: How to Bet This Week’s PGA Tour Event

Table of Contents

Like the American Express a couple of weeks ago the 2022 Pebble Beach Pro-Am uses three courses for the opening three rounds and a 54-hole cut before the final round at the historic and iconic Pebble Beach.

Amazingly, founded some eighty-five years ago in 1937, Bing Crosby hosted the first event. Phil Mickelson is a five-time winner of the tournament but doesn’t be kidded it’s an event, the top of the market dominate as +50000 winners Ted Potter Jr. 2018, DA Points 2011, and Johnny Miller who came out of retirement to win in 1994 illustrate.

Maverick to Fly Top Gun Over the Monterey Peninsula

Maverick McNealy could be flying lonesome this Sunday in the winner’s circle of this week’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am. McNealy had a strong preparation last week down the road in California at the Farmers Insurance Open, an event he’s probably not suited as well to as this week.

It was a strong opening three rounds at Torrey Pines undermined by a poor finishing round of 75 but McNealy should be sharper this week for an event he was runner up in last year to Daniel Berger.

Normally that six under par last round would have been enough to win but Daniel Berger was an inspired opponent. That result came as no surprise given McNealy was 5th here in 2020 and that’s a strong plethora of form into the perspective that this year’s field is weakened by several Top players traveling to Asia for the Saudi International.

There’s little wonder Maverick McNealy is proficient at Pebble Beach given he’s a Californian so local knowledge and being able to sleep in one’s bed could make the difference for Maverick McNealy to be flying Top Gun at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday.

Take the outstanding price of +2800 at GTbets on Maverick McNealy and add a top 5 bet at + 560 with the same firm as part of our best golf bets this week.

Hark Back to Brandon if You Want a Sleeper Longshot This Week

Brandon Harkins has an interesting profile as this week’s sleeper long shot. Having turned professional in 2010, his career has been fragmented with several promising displays on his rare PGA Tour starts punctuating his grinding journeyman profile on the Korn Ferry and other minor tours.

A couple of weeks ago he won his first professional title on his 175th start at the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour. Interestingly, that could hardly have been better timing given the thirty-five-year-old Californian has an affinity with golf in his home state on the Monterey Peninsula.

He was 15th in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am of 2018 and followed up in 2019 with 29th. If that wasn’t enough to make you consider him, there is a mixed event annually at the courses called the Pebble Beach Invitational, and last November he won in good style after being quick out of the blocks with eight birdies in the opening nine holes of Pebble Beach at the four-round event.

Armed with the information about Brandon Harkins affinity at Pebble Beach take a top 20 banker of +400 with Bovada and a win longshot bet at +11000 with BetOnline.
