Rating: A

Our Verdict

GTBets ranks among the very best of online sportsbooks.

GTBets is a highly impressive online sportsbook. It ranks among the very best in the business for promotions, from the generous sign up bonus to the raft of exciting weekly offers, and the odds are of a very high quality. We would like to see a greater range of live betting options and casino games, but overall it is a very strong all-round site, with fantastic customer service, a strong mobile betting experience and an impeccable reputation for prompt and dependable payouts.

GTBets Sportsbook Sign-Up Process

Click on the orange “Join Now” button at the top right of the GTBets sportsbook homepage to begin the registration process. Enter your name, email address and mobile phone number, and choose a username and password. Click to confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that you agree to the terms and conditions, and then click “Join Now”.

It is possibly the simplest and quickest sign-up process of any online sportsbook. You can then start your wagering journey within less than two minutes of landing on the site. GTBets does advise that all depositing clients must provide KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation prior to making their sixth credit card deposit. Documentation for KYC verification includes a valid state or government issued photo ID, copy of your credit card, and a copy of a recent utility bill.

Currencies Accepted:

GTBets has you covered with a wide range of sportsbook banking methods. The minimum deposit for most methods is $35, which is a little higher than most sports betting sites, but it should suit most budgets.
These are the deposit options you can choose from at GTBets:

Credit and Debit Cards | Visa, MasterCard and American Express are all accepted at this sports betting site. Discover is not available, but it is good to see American Express listed, as it is not available at many sportsbooks. The maximum credit card deposit per transaction is $999, and card deposits should arrive instantly.

Bitcoin | The world’s leading cryptocurrency is accepted at GT Bets. You can deposit up to $2,000 or more, depending on your player status, and the funds should arrive in around 15 minutes.

Altcoins | GTBets accepts Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and XRP – the native token on the Ripple network – for deposits of up to $2,000 or more, depending on your status.

Prepaid Gift Card | The limits are $35 to $999 if you want to use a prepaid gift card to make your initial deposit at GTBets.

QuickCash | Deposits of $100 to $500 are accepted via QuickCash. This method is free if you deposit $200 or more, but you will be charged a $10 fee for deposits under $200.

Wire transfers, Person to Person transfers and checks are not listed as deposit options, but you could call customer service if you prefer to use them. It does not accept Skrill, Neteller or PayPal. All deposits are free.

Deposit Methods Min Max Fee
Visa $35 $999 Free
Mastercard $35 $999 Free
Bitcoin $35 $2,000. Higher limits available. Free
Amex $35 $999 Free
Litecoin $35 $2,000. Higher limits available. Free

You have a few withdrawal options at your disposal:

Bank Wire | GTBets will wire you $100 to $5,000 if you pay a $40 fee. It can take up to just 12 business days for you to receive the funds, but it is generally a lot faster. You may incur additional fees depending on the intermediary bank used.

Bitcoin | Your first Bitcoin withdrawal is free in each 30-day period, and you can request anything from $300 to $5,000 in BTC. If you make another Bitcoin withdrawal request in a 30-day period, you will be charged 5% of the amount requested as a fee, up to a maximum of $60. It will take GTBets 48 hours to process a crypto withdrawal request, which is a little slower than some rival sportsbook sites.

QuickCash | You will be charged a $50 fee or 8% of the requested amount if you request a withdrawal via QuickCash.

GTBets will only permit one withdrawal per customer every seven days, and the most you can receive per week is $5,000, so it might not appeal to certain high rollers. However, if you want to make larger deposits and withdrawals, you can call customer services on 1-800-509-4847 to discuss your options.

The payout department’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10am to 4pm EST, with its same-day payment cut-off time being 12 noon EST. All depositing clients must provide documentation prior to receiving a withdrawal. Documentation includes front and back copies of all credit cards used, a valid state/govt photo ID, a signed authorization form, and a copy of a recent utility bill.

GTBets User Experience

The overall wagering experience is pretty strong at GTBets. The website design is a little basic, but the text is large and clear, the layout is very neat and the site is really easy to use. You will not be besieged by pop-ups or flashy graphics, and the blue, gray and orange color scheme is easy on the eye.

Options at the top of the site allow you to quickly switch between the sportsbook, casino, promotions, cashier and rewards sections. You will then see icons that link to the pages of most popular sports leagues in season at the time – NFL, NBA, MLB and so on – while there are “Live Now”, “Live Scheduled” and “60 Minute Wagering Tabs” to the left of the screen to take you through to in-play sporting events or games that are starting soon.

The bet slip is very simple to use. It is divided into straight bets, parlay & robin, teasers, and if bets. Click on any selection you like the look of to add it to the bet slip. Enter your risk amount and it will automatically tell you the amount you stand to win if successful. You can easily switch between American, decimal or fractional odds. There is also a helpful stats section. The link to this hub is tucked away at the bottom of the site, but it provides a wealth of useful stats on NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAAF and NCAAB when you land on it.

GTBets Mobile Review

GTBets provides customers with a fully optimized mobile sportsbook and casino. There is no app to download, so you can just visit GTBets.ag – the domain name is hosted in Antigua – from your mobile browser, sign in and start playing. BMR tested it out on several different devices while writing this GTBets review, and we found it worked well across the board.

The mobile sportsbook is simple to use, with easy navigation. Pages load at an average speed, and the text is large and clear, while the buttons are well defined. A search function would improve the process, but we were able to navigate towards several sporting events quickly, and we can confirm that mobile functionality is strong.

Betting Options at GTBets

GTBets generally sticks to three simple betting options on most sporting events, but its sporting coverage is pretty broad.

GTBets Sports Covered

GT Bets lists the sports it covers in alphabetical order down the left of the homepage:

  • American Football
  • Aussie Rules
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Cricket
  • Esports
  • Golf
  • Handball
  • Hockey
  • Horse Racing
  • MMA / Boxing
  • Politics
  • Rugby (league and union)
  • Soccer
  • Table Tennis
  • Volleyball

There are a few notable absences, such as cycling, darts and snooker, but GT Bets covers most of the sporting events that U.S. bettors will be interested in. The horse racing section is pretty modest, but it covers big races like the Kentucky Derby. Politics focuses only on U.S. presidential elections, while there is no entertainment section. The esports covered are CS:GO, Dota 2 and League of Legends.

Depth of Sporting Coverage

GTBets offers pretty strong depth in its coverage of popular sports. For example, you can bet on basketball games in Australia, Brazil, China, New Zealand, South Korea, Israel and Israel alongside various European countries and NBA and NCAAB. We even found betting on women’s basketball in Belgium when conducting this review, which is rare.

The soccer section features all the obvious leagues, but also less heralded tournaments such as Saudi Arabia’s domestic league and the Welsh Premier League, plus some lower league action. Hockey fans can bet on niche leagues alongside the NHL, and it features a wide array of golf and tennis tournaments.

Betting Markets

GTBets provides a very narrow range of betting options. On NBA games, you can bet on the spread, moneyline, total and team totals, with lines for the full game, first half or a particular quarter. The same is true of football and hockey. There are a few props available on some MLB games, such as team to score first and race to three runs, but the list is pretty small.

There are a few soccer props available – total corners, both teams to score, a team to score, corners handicap – but you are unlikely to find more than seven wagering options on a particular game, and there are no player props or alternate spreads. If you want a wealth of prop bets to choose from, a site like Bovada is a strong option. GTBets does offer some interesting futures betting markets on NFL, NCAAF, NBA and so on, and it is particularly good for bets on the NFL draft.

Live Betting

Click on the “Live Now” tab to be taken through to a modest list of in-play wagering options. This section still needs a bit of work. It does not feature as many sporting events as rival sportsbooks, there is no live streaming, and the list of live betting options is narrow.

Wagering Limits at GTBets

The maximum bet at GTBets is $5,000 on NFL and NBA sides.

You can wager up to $3,000 on MLB, NCAAF and NCAAB sides, and $2,000 on NHL sides.

Players can bet up to $2,000 on NFL totals, but only $1,000 for other major sports leagues.

The maximum bet on any sport apart from football, basketball, baseball and hockey is $500, and you can bet up to $1,000 on a parlay.

Quality of Odds at GTBets

The quality of the odds on offer is very high at GTBets. BMR found -109 lines on NBA sides and totals when writing this review, whereas the vast majority of sportsbooks will only offer -110. That might not sound like a huge difference, but it can really add up, and it shows that GTBets is happier to take a smaller house edge than almost all of its competitors. Its moneyline and futures odds are also extremely competitive, so you should have no concerns whatsoever about the overall value on offer at GT Bets.

GTBets User Reviews

GTBets customers are very loyal to this sportsbook. They love the bonus offers sent to their inboxes on a weekly basis, and the strong rewards program that it offers, but they also praise the reliable payouts and the efficient customer support on offer. GT Bets has a very strong reputation among the sports betting community on the BMR forum.

GTBets Customer Service

GTBets really excels when it comes to high-quality, professional customer service. You can contact the team 24 hours per day, seven days per week, throughout the year. It has a toll free phone number, live chat, a range of different email addresses – for the support team, cashouts team, rewards team, and new signups – and even a fax.

BMR tested out the customer service for our review, and we were impressed by the depth of knowledge the representatives displayed. They were unfailingly polite and friendly, and we were never kept long when we called or triggered the live chat function.

GTBets Casino

GT Bets runs an online casino alongside its sportsbook. The casino is powered by Betsoft, which has a mixed reputation in the industry, and Arrow’s Edge. You will not find games from market leaders such as Playtech, IGT, Evolution Gaming, NetEnt and so on. However, there are plenty of casino games on offer, including some of the latest 5-reel 3D slots, high roller virtual table games and four live dealer options, and the casino is easy to use.
