We have just one game on tonight’s NHL card with the St. Louis Blues looking to save themselves from being dumped out of this year’s playoffs as they trail the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 in the series.
Check out what NHL player props we are liking for tonight’s matchup.
St. Louis Blues vs. Colorado Avalanche
Wednesday, May 25, 2022 – 08:00 PM EDT at Ball Arena
NHL Prop on David Perron | Blues
The playoff current 2nd highest scorer is the Blues forward David Perron, so betting on David Perron over +200 to score anytime is a must bet.
Although the Avalanche are leading the series 3-1, St. Louis Blues have scored 9 goals in the opening 3 games and we are confident they can keep scoring tonight even if they do get dumped out.
Perron scored twice in game 1 and twice in game three, we don’t see any reason why he can’t stay hot and cash at these chunky odds at +210 on the NHL odds board to score anytime.
Perron also scored twice in two games in the regular season against the Avalanche. We believe Perron should be around +180 to score tonight so let’s ride with the value play here.
NHL Prop on Cale Makar | Avalanche
Cale Makar has taken almost 4 shots per game in the postseason and has been the second-most on the Avalanche roster behind Nathan MacKinnon. Also, Makar has been the Avalanches leading points scorer in the postseason having racked up a total of 9 assists and 3 goals for 12 points.
Cale Makar has taken 23 shots in 4 home post-season games compared to just 10 shots in his 4 road post-season games.
Although we are laying a lot of juice here at -135 for the defenseman to see 3 or more shots, we are very confident in him doing it on home ice given he only took 1 shot in each of the previous two games whilst on the road.
NHL Prop Pick: Cole Makar Over 2.5 Shots (-135) with BetOnline
NHL Prop on Nazem Kadri | Avalanche
We are expecting some regression from Kadri tonight, he can still put up goals and assists tonight and we still have a chance at beating his total shots underline. Kadri’s shots line at 4.5 seems a little high given he has only taken 26 shots in post-season games, averaging less than 3 per game.
We are a little confused as to why his shot line is so high here. Kadri has only seen over 4.5 shots in 7 of his last 30 regular season games. We also must note even last time when he scored a hat trick, he still only took three shots on net.
This is one of our favorite plays of the bunch but it could also easily go down in flames as Nazem Kadri scored a hat trick last time out, his hand is hot and he will be feeling confident coming into tonight’s NHL game.
NHL Prop Pick: Nazem Kadri Under 4.5 Shots (-110) with BetOnline
NHL Prop on Nathan MacKinnon | Avalanche
We are going big on MacKinnon to see over 1.5 points at +140. The Avalanche centre has scored one or more points in every playoff game this postseason except for last time out when his side put up 6 goals and he didn’t contribute to any of them.
The previous game was also the second-highest minutes MacKinnon saw in the postseason to date. MacKinnon scored 3 points in the opening game of the playoffs and just 1 point for the next six games in a row.
We expect goals tonight and see tonight’s game go over the 6.5 total line so we are more than happy to get the Avalanche star man to see 2 or more points tonight and send his team into the next round of the playoffs.
Although MacKinnon didn’t technically score the most regular-season points for the Avalanche, he did finish just 4 points behind Mikko Rantanen having played ten games less.
NHL Prop Pick: Nathan MacKinnon O1.5 Points (+140) with BetOnline
