Week 7 of the NFL season features two teams on a bye, but there are plenty of intriguing matchups to target. I’m most looking forward to an NFC East showdown between the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys, but there are plenty of more matchups to choose from.

Keep reading for exclusive insights that Bookmakers Review has received from BookMaker, which is considered to be one of the top offshore sportsbooks. We’ll provide a  breakdown of the betting angles and key storylines heading into another loaded Sunday slate of NFL action.

Early Sharp Action on Four Sides

BookMaker reports early sharp action on the following sides:

  • Cleveland Browns -3 vs Miami Dolphins
  • Los Angeles Chargers -2 vs Indianapolis Colts
  • Atlanta Falcons +2.5 at San Francisco 49ers
  • Seattle Seahawks -3 vs Houston Texans

Stay on top of the latest movement with our NFL odds.

Miami Dolphins vs. Cleveland Browns

The Browns are looking to bounce back following a blowout loss to the Steelers. The key matchup here is Quinshon Judkins against an atrocious Dolphins defense. If the Browns can run the ball efficiently, they look like they’re in a good spot for a win. Weather is a concern here, with heavy winds in the forecast, favoring a run-heavy game script. This style of football aligns more with the Browns than the Dolphins.

Indianapolis Colts vs. L.A. Chargers

The Chargers should be able to build off a thrilling road win over the Dolphins last week because the Colts are depleted in the secondary. Promising wideout Quentin Johnston is set to return, which makes it likely that Justin Herbert can pick apart this injury-plagued defense.

The sharps and public are aligned with the Chargers over the Colts, so the house is cheering on Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor to work up some more magic here.

Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Falcons just beat the Bills rather handily at home on Monday Night Football. This is the most underrated defense in the NFL, which could cause issues for an undermanned 49ers team that is likely to start Mac Jones once again.

Houston Texans vs. Seattle Seahawks

It’s also hard not to ride with the Seahawks given their improvements on defense along with the magical connection between Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Biggest Needs for the House

These are the biggest needs for the house at BookMaker:

  • Tennessee Titans +7 vs New England Patriots
  • Indianapolis Colts +2 at Los Angeles Chargers
  • Detroit Lions -5.5 vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Chicago Bears -5 vs New Orleans Saints

New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans

With the public all over Drake Maye and the Patriots, the house needs the Titans to cover the spread. Don’t sleep on this team as home underdogs in this spot, as they just fired head coach Brian Callahan. Interim Mike McCoy has head coaching experience, so we could see a much better effort from the Titans here. We often see teams respond well in their first game following a firing.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions

The public is favoring Baker Mayfield and the Bucs, especially with Mike Evans expected to return to action at the perfect moment. Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin are sidelined, so getting a target like Evans would be huge for Mayfield.

New Orleans Saints vs. Chicago Bears

Finally, the house would benefit with the Bears covering the spread against the Saints. Despite a three-game winning streak, public confidence on Ben Johnson’s team isn’t high right now. However, I think we could see a good effort from the Bears defense, as defensive coordinator Dennis Allen goes up against his former team.
