First time in history a business which has been losing money since its inception chooses to continue the struggle by giving its employees a raise despite not putting out a product that interests the public enough to turn a profit

Expansion fees could be as high as $250 million in the next few years, up from $50 million for the Valkyries. How is it possible someone could ever earn that much money and still be willing to spend such inflated costs on such a struggling business?

it is hilarious that this subsidized entity just agreed to pay employees 5x more. And of course the profit sharing of 26%. What is 26% of negative $45 mil. Pass the hat bitches!

It's based on revenue, which was up to $300 million last year, with a big jump expected this year. When NBA collective bargaining began, ownership whined that paying 40% of revenue in player salaries would put them out of business and quickly agreed to pay. Didn't happen. WNBA is around 7%.

when I was in college (still living in a college town, not in school), the Lady Rebs came out to our pick up court. I was playing with some solid players (myself of course) and a guy who played 6 man for Ole Miss back in the day. I was probably 25 or 26 at the time. I will say this, those bitches were in much better shape than me. They hustled, got a lot of loose balls and chased down some long rebounds. They also had the benefit of playing together, running specific plays, etc. But, end of the day, while competitive, we beat them The final score was too close for comfort however. Perhaps we took them lightly. There was no rematch bc the next group had "downs"

Males generally have higher sports performance than females. It's fascinating it took you until this evet at age 25 to learn that.

you do also realize that the $8 mil in profits they made last year was the first time they've ever turned a profit. It's a solid business model. I'm still looking for a business that I can run for 29 years (without profit), and then immediately turn X% of that profit over to the employees the second I turn one. Nice f-cking fantasy world that league resides in

Also, go f*** yourself

The WNBA has never turned a profit. It’s the biggest pile of dogsh1t in sports. It’s propped up 100% by the NBA. Now could that have possibly slightly changed with Caitlin Clark? Sure. Slightly. The NBA bowing to the woke mob again paying these useless twats. Every team in the WNBA would get the brakes beat off them by a decent boys high school team. The women’s national soccer team once lost by 10 goals to an u15 boys team in Dallas.

If you never do anything beyond looking, you'll never find anything solid in business. You'll have to actually do some work. If you can do that, I'm sure both management and labor will have success at whatever business you end up in. Just like the WNBA is experiencing.
