Fox (ankle) participated in shootaround Monday, per Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.
ANALYSIS
Fox, who remains officially listed as questionable for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Thunder, believes he'll be able to play Monday. The Spurs are still likely to wait to offer confirmation on the star guard's status until after pregame warmups. Fox has averaged 18.8 points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.3 minutes per contest through 11 games in the 2026 playoffs.

Kornet is questionable for Monday's Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Thunder due to left foot soreness, RJ Marquez of KSAT 12 San Antonio reports.
ANALYSIS
Kornet could miss his first game of the postseason due to a left foot issue. The big man saw a limited role in the team's second-round series outside of Game 4, during which Victor Wembanyama was ejected, as Kornet failed to surpass 15 minutes played in any of the other contests. Yet, his absence would be significant for the Spurs, and more playing time would be available for Mason Plumlee and Kelly Olynyk to supplement Wembanyama if Kornet is ruled out.

When Oklahoma City last lost in the playoffs -- two years ago to the Dallas Mavericks in the West semifinals -- a young team lacked any real playoff experience against a battle-tested Mavericks team. (Spurs assistant Sean Sweeney ran the defense for those Mavericks, it's worth pointing out.)

As this season has played out, Oklahoma City has talked about the lessons and confidence gained through that experience. The Thunder learned what many title teams now know: There seems to be no step-skipping on the path to an NBA title. The Spurs will have their hands full in their attempt to buck that trend.

"That Thunder team from two years ago is a JV team compared to this year," a West assistant coach said. "It's not even a comparison."
