Agreed.It is totally unreasonable to expect a Russian national to criticise Putin - that could be dangerous for themselves and their families.They should be allowed to remain silent on the subject,and not have to field questions from the press.

This is marginally offtopic,but there is no evidence that Roman Abramovich was/is pro-Putin.Indeed,somebody tried to poison him while he was trying to broker a peace deal - more likely to have been the Russians ? Yet he is being deprived of his stake in Chelsea with no compensation and on no reasonable legal basis.

The New York Times reported players from both Russia and Belarus, which has supported Vladimir Putin’s nation, would not be permitted to play at the grand slam event.
