I prefer the 805 but wife's family is in OC and mine in Ventura Co. so we're somewhat stuck.

I lived in Huntington Beach, twice. It's getting old and rundown. The beach area itself is nice.

I also lived in Irvine which was nice, as is south OC.

For LA County, I really liked South Bay/Torrance/Redondo. I used to work near there.
