Our pastor convinced me and my wife that hell does not exist

Heaven yes, but not hell

The word hell isn't even mentioned in the bible except for the new testament, and even then it comes from an actual place on earth

So many believe the same and base the belief on actually facts of what's written

Maybe what would be considered 'hell' to us would simply be eternal death. When you're dead you're dead and not worthy of afterlife.

Who knows....but I'm pretty selective as to who I choose to let persuade me.
One has to prove over time they are pretty brilliant and this man did enough, with the addition of much documentation, to convince me

I said closer sir to me satanism is kind of the idea that we are all "gods" in a sense and each other us have different "powers" And i'm well aware I didn't create myself but that doesn't mean we aren't all gods. I think christian dogma is there to control people and make people feel guilt and shame for normal human behaviors that we enjoy doing. I will admit it's been a successful tool in controlling the masses and limiting people from killing each other but I also think it can make someone miserable worrying about some "god" in the sky watching you throughout the day. I think leaders of the past figured out you can get men to stop killing each other so much if you convinced them there was consequences for doing so hence "heaven and hell" and "god"

Be careful Jesus preached more on avoiding hell than he did about heaven. It is called tickling the ears of parishioners when telling them what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear.
