Most of us have loss beyond what we can afford at some point in our lives as gamblers. What would you sell if it meant getting you out of trouble at this point of your life?
I'll start by saying I purchased gold at about $250.00 an ounce when I younger. Sold quite a bit about 10 years ago at $1300.00 an ounce to get me square with my book. After that I was lucky enough to only bet what I could afford to lose.

Years ago, when I first started gambling, was broke, and needed rent, I cashed in govt savings bonds my grandparents had given me for x-mas every year. Wasn't really selling anything but that was my backup cash bundle.

Got married shortly afterward and chilled on the gambling for several years. Older/wiser now (well maybe only a little wiser) so I don't put myself in those situation any more.

I had a roommate who kind of sold himself for $. Were young and just out of college. He was in good shape and women thought he was handsome. He would date older women and receive "favors". He had Sugar-mommas giving him money and stuff.

I'd hear some crazy stories from him. He was a morally corrupt guy.
I think Fate stepped in to even things out. Years later he ended up in prison for drugs.

Fortunately, that has happened to me only once when I was in college. All I really remember is that it involved $1,000, alcohol and the Minnesota Vikings on MNF. I had nothing to sell so I had to go to my older brother who bailed me out and I have never bet over my head since.

Only use post-up books now. Too easy to tilt no matter how experienced you are. When i was a machinist our owner was also a bookie(just football season) and owned a bar. Everyone went to the bar before work(3:30-12 shift) and at lunch(8 at night). Those weeks you won were great but when you lost it was the worst. Basically working for free. Boss liked to give out payment plans too.

Funny story: The 76ers/Lakers finals we are at the bar for lunch. Local newspaper crew is there and interview us. Next day come to work and boss shows us the front page of newspaper showing me and the tool maker having a beer, cheese steak, and a soft pretzel watching the game. Boss laughs and say "I guess you guys didn't get much done last night." Good times. RIP Ronnie

Great question @upyours88. I think depending on the situation, assuming no cash reserves or other options I would first part with electronics. I have many things collected in good working condition plus current toys like PS5, computers, phones/tablets, headphones etc. Easily a few dimes right there and hopefully enough to get out of a jam.
Maybe a watch or some jewelry?
I was thinking that too but jewelery is one thing that at least for me too many memories are attached to.
