this hurricane ian looks like it's going to be a problem for tampa bay, storm surge could be brutal and then it's supposed to slow down to 3 mph and just going to dump lots of rain and wind flooding will be awful, they are turning off our water on siesta key today at 5 pm so cant' see any reason to stay also it's a mandatory evacuation being on the water so if power goes out they won't be in a hurry to put power back on for people that shouldn't be there

hopefully this ian a hole stays far enough off shore to limit the damage
Yeah freaking route is changing 😕

hope everyone in the path of the storm in Fla gets through it safely!

while I am always thankful when Louisiana is spared from these gulf storms I feel for those who end up in their path
lowkey though, i've been excited for a hurricane....don't ask why. i've been through so many growing up in FL and my parent's always made them "fun", so i'm lowkey looking forward to chilling in the dark (if power goes out) and just have a bunch of candles, vibe at home. i still hope everyone stays safe though

Cincy and RDalert I believe are in direct path.

Hope you guys are prepared. Glad to see Cincy leaving the area. With city shutting off water and electricity, :thumbsdow there's no point in staying.

Sharpsquare can probably attest to this.... In NOLA after a hurricane last year (smaller one that this) when power went out, gasoline was an issue. The gas stations had to use generators to run their pumps then there wasn't any gasoline deliveries. You had to scramble to find fuel. It took weeks to get power back to entire city. Likely to happen to Tampa area.

Here is my buddy’s location who move from Ca. To Naples been there like 3 weeks. Say’s he’s batten down the hatches no worries. Personally I would evacuate look at all that surrounding water. Mind you it’s not salt water he lives on a golf course.

Same here. We have had so many over the years that Louisiana "Hurricane Parties" became a thing, and they are quite enjoyable. Sadly these fkn storms have been getting stronger and stronger and nowadays when we get one it's often safer to run than stay.

But I def get it
