Many restaurants are mentioning this new "service charge" in the fine print on menus. Hard to see and only on certain pages of menu at the very botom or back.

They won't remove it and say, "it's on our menus".

I’m a good tipper but I agree I would lean towards no here

But I’ve seen it before and simply left a smaller tip

Maybe it’s another unfair tactic in an effort to make up for those who do not tip at all (or they are just crooks)
