They can't do it without him

Sounds like he's done for the year

He was 11-2

Tampa Bay Rays ace left-hander Shane McClanahan is "highly unlikely" to pitch again this season, according to manager Kevin Cash.

McClanahan will consult another specialist on his injured left forearm before making a final decision on his status, but Cash noted that "everything is on the table" and that the hard-throwing All-Star could undergo surgery.

Seems like a pretty big loss. He likely would have been in the 2nd spot on any playoff rotation.
At least they picked up Civale before trades ended.
I see their rotation now being....

1- Eflin
2- Civale
3- Rasmussen
4- Glasnow (would be 3rd but he's day-2-day now).
I left out Bradley because he's done so poorly but they put him in the mix.

Glasnow has been hurt too and wouldn't doubt he'll be the next

As a huge Rays fan I’m starting to get curious what they are doing that is getting these pitchers hurt

Could just be the worst, horrible, shit luck ever but…

Maybe they did some weird Indian Ritual that cursed them but it’s odd

It does make you wonder

For years they find & bring up these gems

But always have bad luck with them getting injured while pitching

Are they over-working them??? I've not looked at rotation timings but if they are being pressed to pitch on short rotations for weeks in a row, that will add up. The All-Star break should have helped but, makes you wonder what their pitching philosphy is for guys during off days.
