Never would I have I imagined this new Matrix movie would be worse than the 2nd or 3rd movie.

So bad I considered leaving 3/4 way through and trust me that's saying a lot

Absolutely horrible do not waste your time if you are familiar with the movies & considering seeing

i thought it was good

here are some of my recent thoughts (yes i see a lot of movies)

matrix resurrections 8/10
spiderman 9/10
being the ricardos 9/10
king's man 7/10
nightmare alley 9/10
west side story 7.5/10
I see it's getting poor reviews almost everywhere

But I'm happy you enjoyed it and got your money's worth

I was considering Westside Story. Thanks for the review I probably will see it now

matrix i watched at home on hbo max, my expectations were low which also factored into it

west side story starts out pretty slow, i had remembered the music but not the story... if i had seen the play/movie more recently it would've probably been WAY less enjoyable, in those cases (or book first, then movie) the little differences get annoying to me

for movie buffs with AMC nearby, i recommend the A-list subscription... 3 movies/week and it costs $20/month

way too many freaking movies lately! feel like i'm watching 3 movies/day and i still have a lot to catch up on, just way too much original content amazon/hulu/nflx/etc in addition to theater

just tomorrow licorice pizza/red rocket/american underdog/journal for jordan all come out

Journal For Jordan is another I will also see

Do you like most musicals?

How does the music/the songs in Westside rank vs movies like La La Land and The Greatest Snowman?

I have the 12 month Regal $20 month unlimited pass but haven't used it in 2 months. Last movie seen was the Sopranos prequel that I thought was terrible. Will get back into it this week with so many decent ones. I like to go and see at least 2 in a row.

Man, I remember watching first Matrix in theater - turned out to be the gold standard other movies afterwards would be compared to...so pretty sad to hear part 4 is a let down because I had high hopes too...

Maybe my expectations were too high as Mike stated that his were not

I had hoped the poor reviews were just those of weird critics, but in my personal opinion they were right

I'll still watch it, but yeah I'll have to remember not to expect to much - must have been the storyline was really disappointing? The effects are always good with Matrix movies.

i really liked the music in the greatest showman, and the movie... i would give that 10/10

la la land, good entertaining movie but i wouldn't really listen to the soundtrack multiple times

music in west side story (to me) is good but i knew the songs

I read your post, checked Google to see if the new movie was on HBO max, like you said, then opened my big mouth that’s it’s on HBO max.

stick a fucking fork in me. I don’t see how it could be any worse than the third one but if it is, at least I’m at home.

the last movie I was made to watch was the art of racing in the rain. This race car driver picks out a dog as a puppy. The movie is mostly from the dogs perspective……..

the guy gets married. His wife dies of cancer, his in-laws try to strong arm him into giving away custody of their/his daughter and the dog dies at the end. I have no emotions but this thing made me sad. I had to leave at the end. I couldn’t deal with it anymore.

saw Marley and Me in the movies. I figured the dog would die at the end and was prepared. It was coming to the end, the dog is dying or died. I remember biting the inside of my lip to divert sadness into pain so I could maintain. I’m holding out so far. I look to my right and this huge/ripped guy sitting next to me is weeping. I couldn’t hold it any longer and shed some tears while my throat hurt.

this shit is why I never go to the movies or want to watch what my wife suggests.

sorry to go off topic.
