Bexar County will be the first county in the U.S. to test the Trusted Driver Program, a web-based program where drivers can get a ticket via text message instead of meeting with a cop face-to-face.

This sounds like a good idea, as the article says - the less anyone has to interact face to face with cops the better, for freeing up time for cops, and for everyone less in general whether to reduce the risk of police brutality or just to avoid the annoyance of being stopped.

It sounds like just using text messaging to issue tickets and interact, pretty sure if anyone wants to take these tickets to court they still can.

The interesting thing in the article is that warnings can also be issued by text, so maybe if the cop gives a warning to fix a headlight, the owner can just text back wherever he has it fixed - and that could avoid the issuing of a ticket.

Either way, I hope this gets implemented worldwide, because I agree the less interactions with cops the better for all.

The roads are getting more and more dangerous with ppl and their phones

I'm not gonna lie I'm guilty of it too but not near as bad as I see lots of ppl & cops need to start cracking down
