Yeah I read that earlier, nothing confirmed just yet. I mean 99.5% of these games are not fixed, so it doesn't really bother me, at some point in my gambling career I will probably be on the right side of one of these. I don't really bet contrarian these days, I usually try to find the better team at the right time SU & ATS wise. I would say most times it's the worse of teams throwing the game with nothing to play for besides a come up financially.

Everytime a bad number gets slammed they can't go crying foul, especially in this age of amateur steam chasers.

Really - THATS the level of review by so called “watchdogs” ? Well - as long as everyone showed up - it can’t be a fix…

I mean it’s hard to prove “lack of effort” - but the rebounding difference speaks volumes. Hey - you’re in a losing team and transferring or done after this year - why pass up 50 grand to fix a game? Split 6-8 ways - do it a few times and then bet it on other team - adds up fast.

UAB covered 10 of their 14 games, they are good against Temple. Not sure why Vegas set the opening line so low.

Barring any big injuries, college hoops games do not move from 1.5 to 8 in 2024.

There is a whole system in place and they can access video from the brick and mortar books showing who made the bets when.

It's very organized and connected and it doesn't matter where you are, it's difficult to hide.

It’s funny though - they only “investigate” the games they mis judged.

The ones where every square piles on a favorite that at face value is inappropriately priced too low - but somehow still manages to lose - they never investigate.

Guess they only worry there might be competitors running up the price on fixing a game - and we all know bookies aren’t about to let competition move in on their territory.

That's a bold statement that actually doesn't make sense if you think about it.

The issue here is betting patterns.

And yes, it is a big worry if something is acting from outside the system already in place.
