Cavaliers ML +120

I think this Cleveland team gets this "new era" off to a pretty strong start. I believe this is a top 5 team in the conference, and I think they show right away just how talented they are. Toronto is not an easy place to play, but I think the opening night is a good time to catch a team like this on its home floor. I think the Cavs are the better team, and I like the value here of getting plus-money to win straight up. So it's worth a shot IMO.

Nets -3 EVEN

The stock price on Brooklyn is low because of their offseason, but I really like this team big picture. There are some concerns about off-court drama, etc. but I really love how this team is constructed from a basketball standpoint. Knock on Ben Simmons all you want, but he is a really nice complimentary piece to what KD and Kyrie bring to the table. I also am not sold on New Orleans. They get Zion back, but who knows what their chemistry is like? And they were a pretty bad team last year despite the playoff appearance. It's only 3 points, so let's go with it.

Damian Lillard over 23.5 points -115

This is a weird game, but figured there would be some opportunity here value-wise. I think Portland is a pretty mediocre team -- at best. I think they lack scoring punch and will be reliant on Dame. The Kings also are pretty weak as far as perimeter defense goes. I think Dame is going to want to come out and fire early and often, and he should be able to get a lot of clean looks. Gimme the over here.

Good luck! Happy NBA season! 🏀
Love the Dame play, good luck!

OOOooh boy here we go. A couple nice and close losses on two of our first four picks. Gotta love the NBA :)

Overall Record: 1-3 -2.15

Bucks ML +155

I don't love that the Sixers are coming off a double-digit loss. Things sorta even out in the NBA, especially early. But I do love Giannis and Co. in their opener coming out pretty hot. I think this team is going to be hungry after what happened last year. They have a lengthy defense that I think is going to give Philly some issues. Sixers had 4 guys go off for 20+ in that opening loss. I don't see their top 4 players being that efficient again. I'll take a risk on the road dog

LeBron James over 5.5 assists -150

In the past this would have been a gimme, and I do think LeBron is a little bit more motivated to be focused on his scoring side of things. But I actually think the Lakers are going to shoot a little better tonight and believe LeBron will be the one giving his "shooters" some clean looks from 3. LeBron is one of the greatest passers ever, and he doesn't look like he's slowed down very much. I'll say he gets at least 6 assists in what I think should be a competitive game.

Heat ML +125

I think Miami bounces back from its opening loss. I think the challenge of this team, much like last year, will be how to balance out their minutes down the roster. They have a lot of capable shooters on this team, and I think they come out and shoot the ball better. Boston was pretty hot on opening night, but I think Spo is going to have a game plan that limits either Tatum or Brown.

Nets ML -135

I think Brooklyn bounces back here. That was a pretty embarassing performance in their opener, but I still like this team big picture and think their value is a little diminished here/a bit of an overreaction. This is a nice price, so I'll take it SU.

Warriors ML -190

I think this team is going to have some lofty prices and lines this season. I do think though that this one is pretty fair value, and perhaps a little on the cheap side. I think Denver is going to be a fringe playoff team this year, and I think the Warriors do an excellent job containing teams that revolve around a big like this. I'll play the big price

Good luck, let's get 'em!

God I hate the NBA lol.

Heat ML -135

We are going right back to the Miami well. Let's get it done boys. Toronto off a back to back/pretty draining game in Brooklyn. Heat may have a little fatigue as well, but I trust 'em to get it done and avoid going in an 0-3 hole. Gimme the Heat

Joel Embiid over 27.5 points -115

Pretty bad second half from the big man against the Bucks. Harden has been hogging the ball a lot so far. I think they make some adjustments and feed Embiid early and often in what should be a comfortable win for Philly at home tonight.

Good luck all

Getting these in early

Lakers -3.5 -110

It's time boys. Blazers are feeling good about themselves after two wins and a surprisingly fast start. The Lakers appear to be devoid of talent outside of LeBron/AD, Russ is bricking everything, etc. Buy the stock low, and sell on the inflated bad team. Gimme the Lakers to win this game semi-comfortably.

Cavs -3.5 -105

I like this team a lot. I think they should be 2-0. They had an impressive showing in Chicago Saturday night. Washington is off to a strong start, but I think they come back down to earth a little bit in this one. I think Cleveland's front-court is gonna give them problems. Cavs baby.

Good luck

Rockets ML +125

I really like what Utah has done this year, but I think they take their first loss on the road here. It looks like they are trying to make an early season statement -- "We are not tanking!" That may very well be true, but yeah Kelly Olynyk being a volume scorer for you is not sustainable. Houston has played tough despite the losses, and think they get their first win at home tonight.

Bulls ML +185

I am not as bullish (no pun intended) on Chicago as others, but I like them in this spot. They had a tough back to back and came up empty, and didn't look good at all in that second game against the Cavs, but I think they respond and give a much better effort at home.

Good luck

Warriors ML +105

Kind of a "concept" play with Warriors as an underdog. I think Phoenix is solid, but don't think they match up well with Golden State around the perimeter. Warriors will bottle them up on the perimeter I think. Warriors have looked lackluster defensively so far, so I think they actually put forth 100% effort tonight after having Kerr definitely light them up about it. Also like that Phoenix is coming off a dominant win. What goes up tends to come down. Gimme the Dubs

Klay Thompson over 2.5 made 3-pointers -130

Don't love this kind of juice on a prop, but going to take the over here. He had a quiet game against Sacramento and hasn't been looking to take too many 3's. I think after a hot Steph/Poole game, this one will be Klay's turn to provide some offense. I think he should be able to get at least three 3-pointers tonight. Don't love double-dipping on the same generally, but feel decent about this one.

Good luck everyone

Storm where's the best place to keep up with NBA injuries daily? I kind of lost track
Honestly I don't have much reliability here.

CBS I'll say does a good job with that sort of stuff I've found. It gets tricky though, a lot of these players get scratched late though, like after warm ups and stuff.

I also follow Woj and Chris Haynes, some of the other big name. Woj is as credible as it gets, though he's not always on top of injury stuff

Not sure if that helps much

Not that it would have covered, but damn you hate to see a prop bet die with an ejection like that. Klay's first of his career too! Ugh

YTD: 9-8 +1.20

Nets +4 -105

Tough game against the Grizzlies, especially considering how well Durant and Kyrie played. But we are gonna go back to the well here and take Brooklyn. I think Simmons is one of the few players that can give Giannis trouble in a 1-on-1 scenario, and also think KD is going to be able to get any shot he likes her. I'll take da points.

Lakers +5.5 +100

I don't like this team. I'm not saying they're any good. And they fucked me over on Sunday. But, I'm going to go ahead and play them here. AD historically does well against Jokic, for what it's worth, and I think we might finally see some modest 3-pt shooting against a Nuggets team that surely will let em have it.

Heat ML -135

Wish I grabbed it earlier (last night). Thought about it but just didn't pull the trigger. Portland is playing out of their minds right now, so wouldn't be shocked if they put together another nice outing. But I think Miami is due for a good game. Only concern is they can't seem to figure out consistent rotations. A little troubling.

Good luck everyone!
